Last week we joined the vibrant discussions at Venture Intelligence Day, organized by VESTBERRY. 🚀 Iva contributed to the panel around #data and #AI alongside Niklas Benesch, Atte Honkasalo, Bastian R. The conversation explored how incorporation of AI will impact the core areas in VC, from deal sourcing to value creation and portfolio management.    Leading the deep dive on the data-driven approach, Dr. Andre Retterath outlined the main pain points:  ➤ Overwhelming Number of Options: With more than 600 vendors in the market, it’s challenging to identify the right tools and data sources that align with specific needs. The sheer volume of choices can lead to decision fatigue and confusion. ➤ Internal Cultural Barriers: Many organizations face resistance when adopting modern solutions due to entrenched practices, a reluctance to change, and skepticism towards new technologies. Overcoming these internal blockers is critical to effectively integrating new tools. ➤ Reluctance to Adopt Modern Solutions: A common challenge is the hesitation within teams to embrace innovation, whether due to perceived complexity, fear of the unknown, or concerns about disrupting established workflows.   To generate alpha today, even with everyone having access to the same data, the real advantage comes from how we interpret and apply that data. Investors' unique perspectives, expertise, and ability to manage cognitive biases lead to different decisions. 💡 Combining strong #relationships with founders, deep sector #knowledge, and data-driven #insights helps uncover opportunities others might overlook.
