On a mission for zero injuries – Prioritizing the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and cyclists. #eVersum’s #eShuttle is now equipped with advanced safety features, in line with the latest General Safety Rules (GSR II), aimed at significantly enhancing protection for everyone—whether on board or around the vehicle. One key feature is the Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), one of 11 newly installed safety systems. The BSIS can detect cyclists in the vehicle's blind spot, extending up to 27 meters behind the shuttle, offering an extra layer of protection for vulnerable road users. This was a collaborative effort between eVersum’s software and validation teams, and our trusted partner, Mobileye. A big thank you to everyone involved in making this important upgrade a reality! #GSR2, #eVersum, #eShuttle, #Mobileye

🎙 Our new TECHNE CONNECT podcast is now live 🚘 This week we are talking with Lorena Santamaría Ugarte Ugarte, the Chief System Engineer at eVersum mobility solutions. After spending 4 years working on a bachelor's degree in Spain, Lorena kick started her career by working for Indra Systems, designing the Air Traffic management systems. Lorena quickly picked up the technical aspects but moved to a more challenging role after not feeling technically fulfilled. We also discuss the risks and benefits of working with a start-up, the challenges faced by those working with EV industries, and why it’s OK to make mistakes. This is not one to be missed. Yesterday in Mannheim: during a dialog event the project partners of RABus came together with 20 guests with limited mobility in order to discuss important aspects of accessibility in the future of barrier-free automated public transport. In addition to our colleague Dr.-Ing. Ulrike Weinrich, experts from Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH, Autonomous Everything @ ZF and Institut für Verkehrswesen (KIT) were on hand to answer questions. The focus was on the test vehicle itself, future stops and demand-based forms of service (on demand). 🚌 The RABus project is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport. We were delighted to welcome State Secretary Elke Zimmer MdL and Dr. Susanne Aschoff (MdL) who joined one of the discussion groups. In her welcoming address, Ms Zimmer emphasized the importance of reliable, comprehensive public transport that takes into account the needs of people with disabilities. The project partners are now going to evaluate the results and present them soon. 🔍💡📝 Many thanks to everyone involved in this insightful event! Picture by ZF
