Fritters/donuts 🍩 and start of spring 🌼at GAW. Yesterday (Rosenmontag) and today (Faschings-Dienstag) mark the highlights of this year’s carnival season / Fasching in Austria. And as every year, all employees of GAW technologies GmbH at the headquarters in Graz and our location in Kapfenberg enjoyed the traditional fritters (Krapfen) – the empty boxes are proof that all pieces were yummy and gone in no time.   Also the first herald of spring can already be found right outside of our headquarters main entrance – the witch hazel is in full bloom. … and the name of the plant appropriately fits one of the most common carnival theme costumes 🥳.   #GAW #company #events

„Dancing machine“ was the motto of a truly great ball night for 2,300 guests & dancers! 💃 🕺 The Technical University Graz (Technische Universität Graz) invited to the “Ball of Technology” and GAW technologies GmbH was again one of the sponsors.   This time, an anniversary was also celebrated: the founding year of the mechanical engineering branch at the TU in Graz was already 160 years ago. And so this branch of engineering science looks back on its rich tradition for almost as long as the ball of technology, which was first held in 1858. Since then, the ball is a yearly occasion to rejoice and to look at the present and future of science and technology. And tradition is also very important to GAW - we will soon have our own anniversary coming up: next year we will be celebrating 75 years since our founding – looking back on three quarters of a century of mechanical and plant engineering and construction.   Next to the great music and ambience, the visitors of the TU ball 2025 also enjoyed insights into a variety of modern mechanical engineering ⚙️ 💡– for example the latest hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, in smart production and railway systems (including a small railroad line!). This year’s GAW technologies GmbH skiing trip ⛷️ took the group of colleagues again to Schladming in the beautiful Dachstein region 🏔️ in Styria/Austria. The weather was quite cold, but great for skiing, and we counted zero accidents, hundreds of warm and cold drinks and countless great conversations. ☕ 🥂 😃   Overall this weekend was once again a very nice, sporty get-together.   #GAW #team #event #company

We support the fight to remove plastic waste from the world's oceans. 🌊   As a family business with a history spanning over more than 70 years, GAW technologies GmbH is particularly committed to ecological, fair and long-term successful business. This is reflected both in our own technologies ♻️ and as well in the support of selected local and global projects for nature and wildlife conservation. 🌍   This year, we want to shine a spotlight on a global and pressuring issue: 📢 Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans primarily from rivers. The plastic afloat across the oceans – legacy plastic – isn’t going away by itself. Therefore, solving ocean plastic pollution requires a combination of stemming the inflow and cleaning up what has already accumulated. There are great non-profit organizations with the mission of freeing the oceans from plastic waste, for example with specially developed collection systems that are used to fish plastic parts out of the sea and also already intercept plastic waste in rivers before it enters the marine ecosystem.   We are proud to support one of the biggest organizations in this field with our traditional Christmas / Holiday Season´s donation.
