    Today, a group of our students had the exciting opportunity to visit our partner company PIERER Digital’s headquarters in Wels! The visit began with a warm welcome from Alex Pierer, Chief Digital Officer of PIERER Mobility. Following this, the students participated in engaging, hands-on workshops covering topics like Data Science, 3D technologies, or AI applications. Pierer also gave an insightful introduction to their various fields of expertise and highlighted fantastic internship opportunities available to 42 Vienna students. It was an inspiring day full of learning, innovation, and new opportunities, paving the way for exciting collaborations in the future!

Our goal was to create a robust and scalable system that enhances efficiency for dealers worldwide. We had to overcome not only technical hurdles but also ensure the final product was intuitive and user-friendly. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀: 🚀 Event-Driven Microservice Architecture: Shifting to this architecture required rethinking our development approach. This change allowed us to scale services independently, improving flexibility and maintainability. 🚀 Cloud-Native Development: Moving to the cloud demanded new security protocols, network architectures, and data strategies, which boosted system performance and scalability. 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: ↗️ Skill Expansion: We expanded our expertise by bringing in external experts and training our teams, ensuring the successful implementation of cutting-edge technologies. ↗️ Agile Development Methods: Adopting Scrum and agile practices allowed us to adjust dynamically and meet evolving needs throughout the development process. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀: ✨ Unifying the User Experience: Creating a consistent design was a significant challenge, as the old system's interface caused user frustration. ✨ Redesigning the User Interface: The design overhaul, developed through iterative design sprints and user feedback, created an appealing and user-friendly interface. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀: 💥 User-Centered Workshops: Workshops and user tests helped our designers understand dealer needs and integrate these insights into the design. 💥 Prototyping and Feedback Loops: Rapid prototyping and continuous feedback loops refined the design to meet user requirements. The DealerHub project shows how innovative development and design practices can transform challenges into opportunities, making dealers' work simpler and more efficient.

It requires patience and ongoing conversations, treating it as a marathon, not a sprint. I collaborate closely with stakeholders at Pierer Digital to emphasize the importance of UX and ensure we have the necessary resources and processes to achieve our goals. Aligned with the company strategy, I work with our CDO who supports my vision by implementing initiatives like Design Systems, ResearchOps, Dual Track Agile, and UX Writing, all while promoting an open and collaborative team culture.     🤝 DealerHub: A Masterpiece of Collaboration 🤝 DealerHub is the result of the collaboration between 180 specialists from four companies: Avocodo GmbH, KTM Informatics, LX media GmbH, and PIERER Innovation. This project vividly demonstrates the power of synergies within our alliance and stands as a prime example of how interdisciplinary teams can create innovative solutions through combined efforts. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀: Interdisciplinary Teams and Large-Scale Planning: Seven Scrum teams from different companies collaborated seamlessly to create a robust, user-friendly system. With diverse expertise and mutual respect, they developed creative solutions. Regular meetings kept everyone aligned and ensured efficient project development through idea exchange and workflow coordination. 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲: The initial phase featured a significant kick-off event uniting all teams. This meeting introduced the project's technical and business aspects and fostered a shared vision and culture. Despite diverse backgrounds, we successfully established an atmosphere of trust and openness. By incorporating market and company trends into our architecture, my team and I ensure a smooth transformation of the company. Based on our decisions, future projects and systems are implemented. The most crucial factors for this are stable systems that support our processes 24/7. Additionally, flexibility in implementation is essential to address market changes promptly. The third critical factor is the security of our solutions, ensuring high availability of our processes and data. We dedicate our motivation to these goals every day. International locations and projects, global production and logistics, mergers and acquisitions, motorsport, and marketing across many countries make my role diverse and exciting. The identification with our products and brands, as well as the camaraderie among colleagues, is exceptional within this company. 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳: Last year, my team and I successfully upgraded 20 locations worldwide to the latest hardware and software standards in an international rollout project.
