People often wonder how we elevate UX maturity in a large company, moving from missing processes and misunderstandings to making UX a core part of our strategy. It requires patience and ongoing conversations, treating it as a marathon, not a sprint. By adopting a research-driven approach, collaborating with product teams, and establishing clear processes, we demonstrate how UX significantly enhances the company’s success.

I collaborate closely with stakeholders at Pierer Digital to emphasize the importance of UX and ensure we have the necessary resources and processes to achieve our goals. This involves building a strong team by hiring the right talent to address gaps in expertise and headcount. Aligned with the company strategy, I work with our CDO who supports my vision by implementing initiatives like Design Systems, ResearchOps, Dual Track Agile, and UX Writing, all while promoting an open and collaborative team culture.

Although I’m not directly involved in day-to-day operations, I’m incredibly proud of my team’s ability to tackle challenges, adapt to changes, and continually strive to learn and improve. Their dedication is truly commendable. One project that stands out is DealerHub. Over the past few years, our UX team has played a crucial role in creating a platform that streamlines dealership operations and enhances user experience for our partners. They’ve designed and tested intuitive interfaces that have greatly improved efficiency for our dealers, and they continue to dig deep for insights to keep refining the platform.
