RHI Magnesita’s Dalian MGG plant in China is leading the way in our #digitaltransformation journey! It has become the first plant in our global network to have a fully functional Manufacturing Execution System (#MES) and Planned Production/Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) system across all areas. The MES is a powerful tool that tracks and controls the entire manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products, providing crucial data to improve efficiency and productivity. Together with PP/DS, it connects shopfloor operations with #RHIMagnesita’s Enterprise Resource Planning system, ensuring accurate and efficient operations management. In short – it's a game-changer for manufacturing. Of the successful implementation, Rajah J., RHI Magnesita’s Chief Technology Officer, said “This project, which kicked off in August 2021, represents a significant step forward for RHI Magnesita’s plant optimization efforts and will contribute significantly towards making the company and its operations fit for the future. A big thank you to everyone involved for their hard work.” Salim Khouri, Head of Global Automation & Digital Machines at RHI Magnesita, praised the colleagues behind this milestone: “The dedication and hard work of the MES team, the colleagues from Rockwell Automation China, the China and East Asia Regional Leadership team, and Dalian MGG plant management have paid off with this achievement.
