The app uses an algorithm to calculate a driving score based on factors like speeding, acceleration, braking, curving, and distractions. This score directly influences the user's insurance price, offering a personalised approach to telematics insurance. Barbora also shared insights into their digital marketing campaigns and demonstrated how to create marketing automation campaigns, sharing real-world examples from Porsche Bank's practices. Gennaro delved into the importance of Sentiment Analysis, explaining how customer feedback from social media and online reviews helped Porsche Bank improve customer satisfaction. His analysis of customer sentiment helped to improve the app by revealing which improvements to prioritize. Gennaro highlighted successful mitigation strategies, leading to a steady increase in customer adoption each month, showcasing a growth trend. Last week at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), we were excited to host Markus Siuda, founder and manager of Corvis GmbH, for the first talk of the semester, titled “Digital Marketing Formula.” Drawing from his personal experience, Markus shared his formula for digital success: (Value + Branding) x Performance. He explained how to create value by leveraging competitors’ USPs, maintaining focus, and maximizing customer lifetime value. He also introduced the concept of Brandsformance, which emphasizes consistent branding through strong design, trust, and ethical marketing practices. October is packed with exciting events, and we’ve officially kicked off this semester’s Digital Marketing Lab in collaboration with our company partner, Goldbach Austria GmbH. A special thanks to Nicolas Konecny from Goldbach Austria GmbH, who delivered an engaging presentation introducing our students to Goldbach’s innovative products and services. The session covered key aspects such as Goldbach’s DOOH and Online Networks, how Goldbach aggregates and sells advertising inventory, and Retail Media strategies. We also introduced the case study project for our students on a hot topic, Retail Media Marketing, and we can’t wait to see the creative solutions they come up with by the end of the semester!
