We believe a brand is more than design—it’s about creating something that resonates deeply with culture while ensuring it can live on forever. We’re honored to see our work on the iconic Elvis Presley brand, in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment, recognized at The Webby Awards with a People’s Voice Award. Bringing the timeless essence of Elvis into the present day was an incredible journey, and we’re proud to have contributed to his lasting legacy.

A brand is more than design—it’s a feeling. Everyone can express their opinions about brands. Today, Studio Herrström received the The Webby Awards statuette for the People’s Voice Award, recognizing the campaign identity design and art direction we crafted together with Sony Music Entertainment for the iconic Elvis Presley brand. We are immensely honored to have worked on this project, breathing new life into a timeless legend. In my recent conference talks, I’ve shared how this project came to life through a mix of rigorous research and immersing ourselves in the world of Elvis. We studied countless hours of video and audio, interviewed fans, and spoke to those who lived through his music. One particularly special moment was interviewing my grandmother, who is actually born just days apart from Elvis. Many designers have asked me, "What does she know about design?" My answer is simple: more than you can imagine. A brand isn’t about fonts or colors—it’s about the feeling it evokes, what makes it resonate across generations, and what sets it apart. For Elvis, we re-drew the 1968 Comeback Tour logotype and created a dynamic logo system with adaptive color palettes, ensuring the identity could work across any era, vibe, or photograph, seamlessly bridging past and present. Receiving this recognition from the people through the The Webby Awards is incredibly humbling. More than the award itself, hearing that we’ve done justice to the legacy of Elvis in the 21st century means the world to us. Catch my talk at Forward Festival in Vienna on Friday, October 4th, where I’ll dive deeper into this project and more! At last week’s POV Budapest, our Founder and Creative Director, Erik, delivered a talk on the changing landscape of the music industry and how artists and brands can create meaningful connections with their fans. In an era where likes, streams, and algorithms dominate the conversation, Erik emphasized the power of real, human interaction. The future of the music industry lies in building relationships that go beyond digital validation. It’s about crafting authentic moments that resonate deeply with fans. Whether it’s through intimate fan experiences or creating music with direct input from the audience, this is where the long-term value and loyalty are found. A big thank you to the team at POV Budapest for hosting such a fantastic event and to everyone who attended Erik’s talk! You can catch Erik's talk at Forward Festival next Friday in Vienna. - #MusicIndustry #FanEngagement #CulturalBranding

To truly connect with fans, you have to go beyond the music—it's about inviting them into the creative process. One example of this is Vault.fm, where artists like James Blake can talk directly with their most devoted fans about unreleased tracks from the vault. This unique interaction lets artists get immediate feedback, understand what resonates, and decide what to release on streaming platforms. It’s a game-changer for building deeper fan connections. Last week at ADC*LT, our Founder and Creative Director, Erik, highlighted how these authentic experiences are crucial. It’s not just about putting out music—it’s about creating moments that foster real connections. When artists engage deeply with their fans, they build loyalty that goes beyond clicks and streams. At Studio Herrström, we’re all about helping artists and brands create these meaningful connections. Because when you give your fans something real, they’ll stick with you for the long run. This week Erik is continuing the conversation about how to create brands with lasting impact in music at POV Budapest. Tickets at https://lnkd.in/dssDwZQq #music #musicindustry #branding #design
