Our Postdoc Marilyn Poon presented an on-going collaboration with Sabine Boesl at the Reshaping Work conference in Amsterdam last week. Their review-based project on #sociomateriality aims to advance the conceptual understanding of technologies in #HRM processes and practices. 🤖🧐✍️

The Reshaping Work conference was a delight! I joined roundtable sessions on policy making and another on unions, and discussed with various stakeholders the implications of #AIatwork. I also presented a work-in-progress with my UIBK – Human Resource Management & Employment Relations Group colleague Sabine Boesl in a session chaired by Ella Hafermalz, on Ethics, Values, Implications of AI in the media and beyond. A highlight was the keynote by Paul Leonardi from UC Santa Barbara, whose research has been inspiring to my dissertation work. I also enjoyed the panel on AI in HR with Laurens Waling 🔥 , Chris Butt, Marleen Huysman, Anka Gajentaan, chaired by Stella Pachidi where AI’s influence at the human and organizations interface were discussed. In the AI & Regulations panel later, chaired by Klaus Heine EU and UN level actions were central in #futureofwork concerns. The event was co-hosted by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and KIN Center for Digital Innovation in beautiful Amsterdam. I will be sure to rejoin #reshapingwork in 2026!
