What a show! 🤩 Our colleagues Joanna Herbst and Szymon Nadolny just returned from the #PaperDays event hosted by SACMI Packaging & Chocolate S.p.A. ⭐ #teamadapa showcased our latest paper-based solutions, such as the PaperFlowʳᵉ P-type, running at full speed during the workshop, and also highlighted the key challenges the flexible packaging industry faces today. 🤝 While paper-based packaging is trending, the switch from plastic to paper isn’t always easy. Founded already in 1929, adapa Italy Forlì is one of our oldest sites in the group, but for sure not old-fashioned. In fact, this site has a reputation in manufacturing one of the most demanding packaging laminates you could think of: retortable packaging. What do our customers value so highly? 🤔 In short, it is the experience. ⭐️ Thanks to their knowledge about this sophisticated packaging, our Italian colleagues reduce certain risks during packaging development, such as failed storage tests. What is solvent used for in packaging? 💡 Right, in printing inks and lamination processes... also, solvents can be recovered excellently, which is why two of our sites run a solvent recovery plant: adapa Italy Forlì and adapa Greece Komotini. 🏭 Together they recover thousands of tons of solvent per year! And the motivation is high to catch every little molecule of solvent because, after all, it can be reused. 💪♻️ The picture shows the plant of our colleagues in Italy. They use solvents to produce our high-performance retort films. These films excel under demanding conditions, as they are often subjected to heat treatment right after the packaging process along with the packaged goods or must shield against the aggressive substances in their contents. Do you have products that need to be sterilised or pasteurised or contain aggressive substances such as acids?
