What a great first meeting of the season! It is always such a pleasure to bring together our amazing W-HIT - Women in Health IT community! Our thanks to spotlight presenters 📣 Caroline Stremnitzer from AURIMOD GmbH 📣 Taraneh Abdelrahimsai from UseYourRight Thanks also to panelists Nina Thill from Vertex Pharmaceuticals , Rangetiner Barbara from Octapharma Austria and legal counsel Monika Hupfauf who talked with us about #innovation in the #pharmaceutical sector. Main take-aways: 💡 Pharmaceutical innovation takes years, even decades of investment before a new product emerges. 💡 Protecting pharmaceutical IP is a complex process that involves more than just filing patents. Know-how, for example, and trade secrets must also be protected. 💡 AI and digital technologies are already impacting manufacturing processes, for example, with predictive maintenance.
