This year, we’re bringing that same energy back to the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, with our ‘Antique vs. Modern’ Moodboard Masterclasses at the ABI Interiors showroom. The session kicks off with an exclusive behind-the-design look at our new, raw, living Tumbled Aged Brass finish. You’ll also discover how to achieve various interior design styles by pairing different finishes for the perfect aesthetic. Each session lasts 40 minutes and operates on a first-come, first-served basis—no booking required. However, spaces are limited to four participants per session. Set amongst the unspoilt countryside and beautiful rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds, The Foxes Maltings is a remarkable modern redesign of a 19th-century malt house. Given the sheer size and intricate details of the home, you might be surprised to discover the majority of the build was completed by a couple with no prior construction experience. Not only that but it was finished two months early and a massive £75,000 under budget. It comes complete with an enormous statement glass portal, a 30-metre pergola frame, and a generous, restaurant-size kitchen and dining room. We sat down with Zara Findlay, 31, and Giuliano Rapoz, 29, owner-builders of The Foxes Maltings, to discover exactly what went into building their dream home from the ground up. The episode, featuring an appearance by our Head of Research and Development, Rhys Beal, alongside designer Georgina Twyford from Studio Yugen, airs on Channel 10 at 3:30 pm this Saturday. It will focus on our multi-award-winning Aliro Accessible Collection, which introduced a range of accessible, ambulant, and assisted living products that combine beautiful design with durability, functionality, and safety. Bairnsdale Residence: Discover the secrets to this suburban hideaway Bairnsdale Residence is a testament to architectural innovation by maximising natural light and taking advantage of breathtaking coastal views. “As part of the design process, we not only wanted a unique home but also something that had quite a striking facade," says owner Tanya King. "So we had a full-height aluminium screen designed, which allowed a lot of natural light to filter through, but also a lot of privacy from upstairs,” We went behind the design of this calm, inspirational dream house on the Sunshine Coast, where all-encompassing natural light, a muted colour scheme, and a minimalistic aesthetic combine to create a tranquil suburban hideaway. Rather than stripping the home to its bones, Jake Cumberland and Dakota Hallett preserved its character, transforming it into a modern sanctuary awash with natural light. White timber battens and travertine accents form an understated façade — just enough to pique curiosity about what lies within without overshadowing the surrounding landscape. “The name says it all,” co-owner Jake reflects. “We fell in love with the natural landscape, the vibrant wildlife, and, of course, the stunning ocean views.” With myriad windows, five-metre ceiling voids, and an outlook worth envying, The Surrounds truly encapsulates its name with intention.
