We were truly honoured to be part of Nazareth Catholic College's Café Theology, with both Rachel and Faisel contributing to this year’s focus on inter-religious dialogue. 🌟 It was a fantastic opportunity to share insights into Judaism and Islam, fostering understanding and deepening connections between different faith traditions. The selected speakers will present on the theme of 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 within their respective faith traditions to an audience of Year 7-10 students. Each presentation will be approximately 12 minutes in length, supported by slides, and delivered during a chapel session. 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: • Availability on both a Tuesday and Wednesday morning of the same week in late October and mid-November. • Ability to effectively communicate the core values of their faith, with a focus on Compassion. • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of students. 🌸 One of our Believe, Belong, and Blossom (BBB) programs has recently wrapped up after an amazing six weeks! 🎉 The presenters had so much fun working with an incredible group of young women, guiding them through thought-provoking discussions and activities. Over the course of the program, the girls dove deep into exploring identity, values, gender stereotypes, cultural influences, and the importance of belonging. Each session was a unique journey of discovery, and it's been incredible to see the confidence and growth that blossomed from this experience. Two weeks ago, we had a vibrant week full of multicultural engagement! At St Gabriel's School one of our Muslim presenters captivated Year 4 students with an insightful talk, sparking a wave of curious and thoughtful questions. Their eagerness to learn about different cultures was truly inspiring (see attached photos). Later in the week, two Jewish presenters led an in-depth discussion with Year 11 students from the SACE Spiritualities, Religion, and Meaning (SRM) class at Christian Brothers College - Adelaide. The small group setting allowed for personalised attention, enabling each student to dive deeper into the topics that mattered most to them.
