  • 🌟 Shift Your Focus, Transform Your Practice Ever find yourself in a bit of a fog when it comes to what you really want? You're not alone. It's like trying to choose a movie on a streaming service - sometimes, you just don't know what you're in the mood for until you spot what you definitely don't want to watch. Let's clear that fog with a little bit of good old pen and paper action. Yes, we're going a bit old school today, but trust me, it's going to light up your clarity. Grab that paper, and let's get started: 1. Draw a line right down the middle to make two columns. 2. Label the left one "Don't Want" and the right one... you guessed it, "Do Want". Now, if you're drawing a blank on the "Do Wants", don't worry. Let's dive into what you're absolutely, positively sure you don't want. For me, I don’t want to feel like I’m experiencing scarcity. I don’t want to feel like I’m struggling and that money doesn’t come easily to me. But here's where the magic happens. Whatever you put in that "Don't Want" column has an opposite, a flip side that's going to go on to your "Do Want" column. Let's say I scribble down, "I don’t want to feel like money is a constant battle." Flip it, and now, "I want money to flow into my life with ease and abundance" gets added to my "Do Want" list. Give yourself a few minutes. Let that "Don't Want" list flow out. Then flip each one and write the opposites of those things in the "Do Want" Column. You'll end up with a blueprint of your deepest desires, and that is pure gold. By the end of this exercise, you'll wield the kind of clarity that can cut through the noise and clutter of daily life. Ready to get started? Let's turn those "Don't Wants" into "Do Wants" and shape the life and business you've been dreaming of. Clarity is just a list away. Warmly, Sam Bowden

  • 🔍 Find Your Focus and Unlock Your Full Potential! You know what phrase deserves to be up in lights? "Clarity is power." And if I had a dollar for every time I scribbled that on a flipchart, I'd be... well, I'd still be writing you this email because this stuff is just too good not to share! Without clarity, you're a ship in the fog. You're moving, sure – but to where? You've got a whole ocean of choices, yet you might as well be paddling in circles. Now, imagine the fog lifts. Suddenly, every opportunity is a lighthouse beacon, and your path is clear. That's the power of clarity. You know your 'what', your 'why', and the 'how' falls into place like dominoes. When you've got clarity, you're not just making moves. Suddenly, what you're focusing on begins to materialize right before your eyes. Here's your game plan: 1.Dream big, and get specific about it – your vision should be as clear 2.Break it down – what steps will get you to that big dream? 3.Make moves that matter – keep your actions lined up with your goals. 4.Keep your eyes on the prize – stay focused on what you're all about bringing to life. Let’s jump on a call and talk about how we can help you get those thoughts as sharp as a tack and craft a crystal-clear roadmap that’s got success written all over it for you and your business. Stay clear and stay powerful. Catch you soon, Sam Bowden

  • Make the Leap – And Watch the Net Appear! …Ever heard of Buckminster Fuller? He was onto something big – and I'm not just talking about those wild geodesic domes he was famous for.  He had this juicy nugget of wisdom: "The principles are revealed upon your decision." Stick with me here. This isn't just another 'go get 'em' pep talk. This is about the dreaded "howitis" – the disease of getting so wrapped up in the 'how' that you forget the 'doing'. You know the drill... …How do I scale my business?  …How can I squeeze in another vacation this year?  …How, how, how... until the cows come home. But here’s the thing: the 'how' is a momentum killer. It's a decision delayer. It's the dreamer's dilemma. So, I'm going to give you the cure right now. Ready? Stop asking "how", and just decide. Boom. That's it. Say you want to double your practice’s profits. Cut to the chase and declare it: "I’m doubling my income. No clue how, but it’s happening." Just like that, you’ve injected rocket fuel into your mission. When you make the decision, the path lights up. You start to see the "how" in high definition. I’ve walked this walk myself. When I was ready to sell my practice, I was clueless on the 'how', but the 'what' was crystal clear. So, I made the call. I was selling. End of story. And, right after I planted my decision flag, I remembered a guy who told me to give him a shout if I ever wanted to sell. One phone call later, and I’m passing him the keys. Now, I could've been that guy, drowning in Google searches, throwing money at consultants, but where's the fun in that? Instead, I trusted the decision. If you've got that tingling feeling in your gut that's telling you to make a move – that's the signal. Trust it. Commit to it. So, what decision are you going to make today? Let's get after it! Warmly Sam Bowden

  • Discover Your Hidden Gifts – Life's Tailor-Made Just for You! You ever feel like the universe is tossing curveballs at you just for kicks? Let's chew on this little thought snack: What if the universe, in all its infinite wisdom, is actually conspiring to set you up for success? Life happens for you, not to you. Sit with that a minute. Everything coming your way, the good, the bad, and the downright ugly, is part of a grand design with your name on it. I'm not just throwing words at you. I'm living proof. I’m sure you’ve heard about my sheet metal factory fiasco... That venture nearly had me eating my shoes. It was a disaster on paper, but in reality? It was a golden ticket. Without that factory flop, I might not have discovered the sweet taste of resilience, the power of a pivot, or the drive to dive deep into the world of practice marketing. I wouldn't have fine-tuned my leadership skills, gotten savvy with finances, or learned to bet on myself – big time. If that factory had been even a tiny success, I'd probably be knee-deep in sheet metal right now instead of here, sharing the secret sauce with you. But it bombed. Spectacularly. And from the ashes of that 'failure', I uncovered the building blocks of who I am today. I was forced, back against the wall, to shed that puffed-up ego and set sail on the most epic journey of personal discovery. I got a masterclass in playing above the line. Without that factory fail, who knows? Maybe I'd learn these lessons eventually... after a few more scrapes and scars. But life had other plans. So here's my proposition to you: Put on what I call "gift glasses". Look at those tough, pull-your-hair-out moments as the universe's most generous gifts. They're your most powerful lessons. They're nudging you (okay, sometimes shoving you) toward where you're meant to be, even when it feels like you're being dragged through the mud by your shoelaces. What's your sheet metal factory moment? Let's unpack it together. Book a time to chat with me and let's turn those 'why me?' moments into 'thank you, next' breakthroughs. Buckle up and get ready to look at life through a brand-new lens. Chat soon, Sam

  • Embracing the Shake-Up to Level Up! Have you ever heard of 'perturbation'? No, it's not the latest wellness trend, but it might as well be, given how it can kick our professional lives up a notch. So, perturbation is this concept that basically says, "Hey, you need a bit of a jolt to get to the next level." It's like when you give a human cell a zap of energy, and it has to decide: "Do I give up, or do I step up?" … …More often than not, it chooses to level up. Think about the gym. If we don't up our weights, our muscles are just chilling, not growing. But when we add more kilos? That's when we start seeing the gains. It's the same for our practice too. I know, I know, the thought of shaking things up can be a bit daunting. But that's where the magic happens. It's like stepping into a new routine, not comfy at first, but it's what gets us moving forward. As Tony Robbins says, getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is the secret sauce to success. So next time you're feeling the pressure, don't sweat it. It's just a sign that you're on the verge of something great. And remember, Buddha had a point when he said that suffering is more about fighting the process than the process itself. Let's not just hang in there when perturbation hits. Let's ride that wave and see where it takes us. Ready to give your practice that energy shot? Chat soon! Sam

  • Where's Your Starting Line? Let's get real for a second. You can't map out a trip if you don't know your starting point, right? The same goes for your practice. To create clarity, you first need to pinpoint where you stand today. I've worked with many practice owners and identified five stages they could be in. Here they are so you can find your starting point. ➡Stage #1 – Pain Central: You're likely thinking about leaving your practice. Profits might be in the red, or you can't connect with your team or clients. It's a tough spot, and I've been there, dreading each new day. ➡Stage #2 – The Struggle Bunny: You're fighting hard, but it feels like an uphill battle. Profits are slim, and you're burning the candle at both ends just to keep things running. ➡Stage #3 – Whack-A-Mole: Running your practice feels like playing Whack-A-Mole. You're constantly solving problems, but it's all on you. It's exhausting being the only one handling everything. ➡Stage #4 – Conductor: As the Conductor, you're leading the team rather than doing everything yourself. Your team's doing the work, and you're directing. Profits are climbing, but you still need to keep things in harmony. ➡Stage #5 – CEO: Welcome to the summit! You're focusing on strategy while your team drives the business. Scaling up isn't just a dream; it's on your to-do list. You've got the blueprint; now it's time to replicate and expand. So, where do you find yourself? Not sure? Take our Practice Diagnostic Assessment at https://lnkd.in/eqwBDSrY and get clear on where you are so you can figure out what to do next. Remember, clarity's not just about seeing where you're at – it's about lighting up the path to where you want to be. Until next time, Sam

  • How to turn “This sucks” into “What a gift!”. The 6 word hack. What happened the last time you thought, “This seriously sucks?” Or “Why is this happening to me? I don’t deserve it!’ Or “ Why do they do THAT. It drives me nuts”. Sometimes life can feel like it’s dishing up a big pile of poo for us to swallow. Here’s a couple from my personal library of “This is crap”… •I lost $500 000 buying a sheet metal factory, which ended up putting me into depression… •I had someone double cross me in my practice… •I had someone steal my boat trailer while I was out in my boat… And the list is endless… It’s called the human experience… you will absolutely have many experiences that don’t end up the way you’d like. These things used to make me mad, sad, frustrated, angry, and confused until I heard this line… What if Life Happens FOR Me, Not Too Me? What if everything that didn’t work out the way you’d like was perfectly designed to allow you to… Learn something… Get an insight you hadn’t had before… Realise something… Which will allow you to create your ideal life faster. This has been my experience: I am less reactive… More patient… Less judgemental… Calmer… More grateful… And absolutely happier… And I attribute a lot of it that I use this line when things are going sideways... “If life happens for me, not to me, what’s the gift in this situation?” It’ll force you to see what’s RIGHT about the situation rather than what’s WRONG. This reframe allows you to grow much faster because you are turning negative situations into positive growth learnings. And that’s been a game changer for me. Give it a go… And shoot me a line and tell me what happens! Warmly Sam

  • This principle separates average and higher performing teams… The principle I’m talking about is whether they play above or below the line. Higher performing teams tend to play above the line… Average teams tend to play below the line…. Where do you and your team play? Ok let me explain what I mean by above and below the line It’s whether they play above or below the line of responsibility. Imagine this scenario… You have a great client and they have asked you to order something specifically for them. The ordering is passed to the “Ordering department” (whoever that is in your practice). But when the client rocks up for their product and it hasn’t been ordered… You ask the person delegated to order it… “What happened?” It’s at this point they have the opportunity to play above or below the line of responsibility. Below the line is blaming something or someone one, making excuses, justifying why it wasn’t ordered or even going to shame… “I’m just such an idiot. I always forget stuff”. Essentially, they are saying “It’s not my fault” in some way shape or form. It’s a victim mindset. The other option is to choose to play above the line. You assume responsibility, accountability and you take ownership of the outcome. A way more empowered option because you are saying “The buck stops with me, and I’ll take ownership of making it work”. In this scenario the person asked to order the product would say…. “It’s my bad. I didn’t do it and I have no excuse. I’ll design a system, so it doesn’t happen again” Can you imagine if everyone you engaged with (at home and at work) understood this concept and choose to play above the line? A very different experience I’m sure you’d agree. I can say from observing people applying this concept in their lives and in their practices, the before and after is VASTLY different. ➡Higher levels of trust. ➡ More efficiency. ➡Higher profitability. ➡More fun. All things that most humans appreciate. Keep in mind “Fish Stinks from The Head Down” It HAS to start with you before you can expect your team to adopt it. I’d encourage you to adopt this principle personally in your life. Hope you find this helpful. Sam
