Adelaide Marriott will see the restoration of Adelaide’s iconic General Post Office with the new hotel built on top, offering a spectacular and seamless Integratron to the 150-year-old building. The grand building full of stories and history will feature 285 guest rooms and suites, meeting facilities, food and beverage outlets all of contemporary design and all complemented with an inspired local Art collection firmly connecting the hotel to its South Australian Heritage. Located perfectly within the Central Business District yet on the doorstep of the famous Wine, Food and Coastal regions, the hotel is scheduled to open mid-2024.

2024 was a memorable and remarkable year for Marriott International in our APEC region, with the opening of Adelaide Marriott being a standout moment⭐
2024 marked another remarkable year of growth for Marriott International in Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC) region as we set a new record with 109 deals signed. This achievement contributed over 21,000 rooms to our development pipeline, bringing our year-end pipeline to an impressive 77,500 rooms, a growth that reflects our commitment to adapting to the evolving needs of today’s travelers across all stay purposes and experiences. We reached several significant milestones - entered a new segment with the launch of Four Points Flex by Sheraton in #Japan, marking our entry into the mid-scale space; debuted Moxy Hotels in #India, #Malaysia, and #Thailand, capturing the growing demand for bold and experiential stays; and we expanded into a new market with the opening of Marriott Executive Apartments Port Moresby in #PapuaNewGuinea. On a personal note, one of the standout moments for me was celebrating our 600th property milestone in APEC with the opening of Adelaide Marriott Hotel. When I first joined Marriott 24 years ago, we operated around 30 properties across the region. Reflecting on this incredible journey, it’s humbling to see how far we’ve come, with Marriott now operating over 630 properties across 22 countries and territories in APEC, spanning 25 distinct brands. None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our associates and the trust and collaboration of our owners and franchisees. APEC remains a cornerstone of Marriott’s global growth strategy, and we are excited to continue driving innovation, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and shaping the future of hospitality in the region.
