  • Only a couple more hours left until we wrap up our final Sydney Tax Training Day for the year. A big thankyou to all of the delegates for attending, was great to see some familiar faces and some new ones too. Peter Johnson started off this morning presenting on Super Death Benefits Strategies. He ran through the strategies that clients can put in place (from quite a young age) to ensure that their adult children pay no death benefits tax if they receive their parent’s super. Jo-anne Hotston followed this with a comprehensive Quarterly Tax Update, where she provided insights into the latest in taxation from the past 3 months. Then after lunch and some mingling between delegates and sponsors, we are back for Jo-anne's Succession Planning topic. This event wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our exhibitors Jirsch Sutherland, TABS - Super Fund Auditors, Accountancy Insurance & Practice Advantage Thankyou for all the support of our attendees and sponsors throughout 2024 and we look forward to seeing you at our Tax Training Days again in 2025. #SydneyTaxTraining #CPDForAccountants #AccountantNetworking #ProfessionalDevelopment #AdvisersDigest #TaxTrainingDays2025

  • We all know how complex the small business CGT concessions are. As one of the most crucial topics in the tax framework, it's also one of the most challenging to get right. There are countless conditions you have to meet, eligibility rules, specific orders of application to follow, the list goes on. Wading through all of this on the ATO website can be time-consuming and overwhelming. That's why we've developed an online program, Tackling The Small Business CGT Concessions: A Series By Peter Johnson. We have turned our popular webinar series into a self-paced, flexible program designed for the busy accountant. It's 8 modules in total over 8 weeks. The first 7 weeks is the main content modules where you'll gain a deep comprehension of the concessions and how they are applied. With each module you'll get the recording, slides, workbook, quiz, case study and 1 hour of CPD. The 8th module (bonus session) is a case studies focused workshop session where we work through the case studies in detail, so you're fully prepared for practical, real-life application. Not only will you earn 7 hours of CPD, you'll get a detailed understanding of how to apply the concessions and valuable knowledge to assist you when structuring new clients or restructuring existing clients.
