You know what they say about an apple a day, but how about 2,356kg of them? That’s how many pristine Pink Lady Apples our Produce Partner Red Rich Fruits grows each and every day for ALDI customers! We’ve been working with Red Rich Fruits for the past 14 years and here Matthew Palise shares how they grow, pick and pack their delicious Pink Lady Apples before getting them from the Yarra Valley and into our stores. We’ve sent Group Director of Fruit and Vegetables, Matt Atley, on the road again. This time, he’s off to the northern part of Queensland, where the winter crop of our blueberries is ripe and ready for harvest!   Matt is visiting Nicole Inderbitzin and her family, who are third generation growers at Berry North Blueberries in the Atherton region. Today, for every punnet of blueberries sold in ALDI stores nationally, we will donate $1 to Foodbank Australia, which is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, helping feed Australians doing it tough.

Last week over 1,100 delegates came together at the ICC Sydney for the 2024 ALDI Business Partner Conference - Good Different Today and Tomorrow. Last month I had the pleasure of joining the ALDI Fairy Meadow team on the shop floor. The team put me through my paces, running produce and unpacking products, for which Assistant Store Manager Adam scored me a very generous eight of out ten! It was fantastic to hear our team’s insights and experiences on how we can continue to shape the future of ALDI Stores Australia. To Adam and the team, thank you so much for welcoming me. With apple season in full swing, this morning, ALDI ‘s Group Buying Director of Fruit and Vegetables, Matt Atley, is visiting our produce partner Matthew Palise from Red Rich Fruits in Victoria’s Yarra Valley.   Red Rich Fruits have been supplying ALDI with apples, pears, mangoes, stone, and citrus fruits for over 13 years. It’s thanks to our partnerships with Australian growers like Matt and the team, we’re able to ensure all ALDI stores have a wide range of quality produce at affordable prices.   Today, for every 1kg pack of Pink Lady sold in ALDI stores nationally, we will donate $1 to Foodbank Australia, Australia’s largest food relief organisation who are helping to feed Aussie’s doing it tough.

ALDI’s much anticipated store in Mackay, Queensland is now officially open.     Today’s grand opening celebrates ALDI reaching a whole new community of people with our ‘Good Different’ shopping experience, offering an exclusive range of high quality products at unbelievably low prices, as well as our iconic range of Special Buys.    The spacious new location features a custom designed storefront as well as a range of innovations including self checkouts, a modern interior design, and simple layout so customers can easily navigate the savings on offer.   The local team of 35 employees are excited to welcome the Mackay community.
