With the SEC freezing climate disclosure rules and executive orders dismantling DEI mandates, the 2025 Trump administration is ushering in a new era of deregulation and weakened corporate oversight. As governance policies shift, transparency declines, shareholder activism faces new restrictions, and federal DEI mandates are removed, creating legal and regulatory uncertainties. For finance professionals, this evolving landscape demands navigating fragmented regulations, maintaining investor trust, and adapting governance frameworks to balance market expectations with shifting policies. 💬 How are you adjusting your governance strategy in response to these changes? #Deregulation #CorporateGovernance #InvestorTrust #TransparencyMatters #RegulatoryChanges #FinanceProfessionals #ShareholderRights #GovernanceStrategy #Altiorem #ChangeFinance4Good #SustainableFinance #ResponsibleInvestment #ESG

"Diversity is a fact, but inclusion is a choice we make every day. As leaders, we have to put out the message that we embrace and not just tolerate diversity." — Nellie Borrero. managing director and senior strategic adviser, Global Inclusion & Diversity at Accenture Recent executive orders from the Trump administration have significantly rolled back diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, terminating federal programs, repealing equal opportunity mandates, and discouraging corporate diversity efforts. Federal employees are now required to report colleagues involved in DEI, and major companies like Walmart, McDonald's, and Meta are scaling back their initiatives. These changes raise critical concerns: 📖 Workplace and wage disparities may grow – Black professionals still earn 25% less than white counterparts with similar education. ⚠️ Legal and business uncertainty – Companies reducing DEI programs risk potential discrimination claims and compliance issues. 💸 Economic impact – A 2020 Citi report estimated that racial inequities have cost the U.S. $16 trillion in lost output since 2000. Diversity and inclusion have long been drivers of innovation, economic growth, and workplace success. As policies shift, the future of workplace inclusion faces uncertainty, making it more critical than ever for organisations and professionals to actively defend and uphold inclusive practices before progress is undone. 💬 How can companies and professionals navigate these changes while maintaining a commitment to diversity? Links to resources in the comments. #DEI #DiversityMatters #WorkplaceEquity #EqualOpportunity #Inclusion #Leadership #Altiorem #ChangeFinance4Good #SustainableFinance #ResponsibleInvestment #ESG

🌿Over the summer, I had the wonderful opportunity to intern for Altiorem and be part of their mission to change finance for good. I want to take a moment to reflect on this incredible experience and express my gratitude. In the last three months, my team have delved deep into the sustainable finance sector and works alongside industry experts. I have gained valuable insights into how sustainability and finance are inseparable, and the future potential that the industry holds. Our project, which focuses on developing a growth strategy for the company, will make a real impact on making sustainable finance even more accessible and widespread. Beyond technical skills, this experience has strengthened my ability to think critically, collaborate across teams, and approach financial decision-making through a sustainability lens. I’m especially grateful for the mentorship and support from my colleagues, who have generously shared their knowledge and perspectives with me. A huge thank you to Emmalene Wysocki for her insightful industry experience and guidance, Sharon Shan for being an amazing coordinator who helped me develop and reflect on my professional growth, and my colleagues, Jamal Deen and Jayden Lo, who always gave their all for our project. I look forward to continuing this momentum and making a real impact on our world, one article at a time. 😄 #SustainableFinance #ESG #InternshipExperience #ProfessionalGrowth
