Thinking About Asking Someone to Be Your Mentor? Start with Coffee. ☕ During our Espresso Club webinar today, we had a great conversation about one of the most crucial steps in mentoring: making the ask! And the best way to do it? Keep it simple—invite them for a coffee. Here’s why it works: 1. It’s low-pressure. You’re not asking for a long-term commitment, just an initial conversation. 2. It builds rapport. Over coffee, you can see if there’s a connection and if the relationship feels right. 3. It’s an opportunity to learn. You’ll gain insights just from that one conversation—and who knows where it could lead! A pro tip we shared: Be really specific when you reach out. Let them know why you’re asking, what you admire about their work, and what you hope to discuss. It makes it easier for them to say yes! Remember, mentoring relationships start with a single step—and sometimes that step is as simple as sharing a coffee. -------- Want to join us next month at the Espresso Club?
