Love animals? And people? We're looking for someone passionate about connecting with others – and helping them help animals. If you have a heart full of compassion, stay cool as a cucumber under pressure, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to every interaction, we'd love to hear from you! We're looking for a full-time Supporter Liaison to join us in Melbourne (with work from home flexibility). Head to https://lnkd.in/gRGEVcNU for the full position description and be sure to apply before applications close on Sunday 10th November. Animals + gambling = a toxic mix. A horse dies every 2.4 days in Australia's racing industry... and these are just the ones we know about. Many more more go undocumented — removed from racetracks to be killed later, or ferried away to auctions and bought by slaughterhouses. Would you take those odds on a horse's life?

On behalf of joeys like Angie, thank you to the thousands of caring people who are speaking up for kangaroos, and who helped celebrate World Kangaroo Day last week by taking action to protect these sensitive animals. If you believe that kangaroo mums and their babies deserve to be protected from brutal slaughter for the sake of profit, please speak up here: https://lnkd.in/g3YtzjBY

Still on a high after our second ever 'Heart2Heart' event last week — the annual in-person meetup for the whole Animals Australia team. Over two days, we shared our learnings, lots of laughter and of course, great vegan food (shout out to Mabu Mabu, Brother Bon, and the Moroccan Soup Bar!) at the historic Abbotsford Convent on Wurundjeri land. Thank you to Kristy Carter of 'Heart@Work' for your warmth, expert facilitation and guidance with embedding Heart-Based Leadership across the organisation. We are so fortunate to have shared this space with the most genuine, skilled, deeply compassionate, determined human beings who each bring their unique and valuable perspectives, experiences and SO much heart to their work every single day. After this time of reflection and connection, we enter this next period feeling re-energised, inspired, empowered and so grateful to be part of this incredible team, and honoured to be on this journey together to shape a kinder world. 🧡

By day, kangaroos feature on tourism ads and delight visitors to Australia. Under the cover of darkness, these native animals are ruthlessly killed for profit, and their joeys – considered ‘worthless’ to the profit-driven industry – are brutally ‘disposed of’ or left to die. Today is #WorldKangarooDay, an opportunity to celebrate these beautiful animals and shine a global spotlight on the brutality they face for the sake of profit. Here are 5 simple but powerful ways to help protect Australia's precious kangaroos 🦘🧡 https://lnkd.in/geHRXJbM
