ANMF SA CEO/Secretary Elizabeth Dabars spoke to Matthew Pantelis from FIVEaa this morning about the terrifying incident that occurred this weekend at Yorketown Hospital, where two nurses were chased by a patient wielding two knives. “I am extremely angered with the system itself. We do know that there are good people working in that system, but they need to get real about this. They need to understand that this is absolutely an imperative" Ms Dabars said. We are working to end violence and aggression through the implementation of the ANMF 10-Point Plan, as endorsed by the State Government. ANMF SA Officers will today enter Yorketown Hospital under Work Health Safety (WHS) Right of Entry (RoE) under sections 121 and 120. This comes after two nurses were chased by a patient wielding two knives in a terrifying incident at Yorketown Hospital at the weekend. The nurses were forced to barricade themselves in the nurses’ station – a designated ‘safe zone’ – for up to 45 minutes until local police finally arrived.
