Check out this exciting transformation at Schoolcraft’s newly revamped facility, now known as the Next Level Sports Center! This summer, they demolished the old sports dome to make way for a state-of-the-art dome that’s twice the size. The expansion features new volleyball and basketball courts, additional batting cages, pickleball courts, and more turf space. https://lnkd.in/gk_qsahz

History Made! It’s official, the 8th Wonder of the World has risen in Cairo, Egypt as Arizon Building Systems has engineered, manufactured, and installed the LARGEST DOME IN THE WORLD! At a half-mile long and more than 410,000 sq. ft., this fantastic building will be used for a variety of manufacturing operations for many years to come. Thank you to everyone who made this project possible and to the wonderful people we met in Egypt who made us feel so welcome over the last few years. Special shoutout to Tim Welker, Gerald Mack, Chris Jordan, Alex Chernyak, and everyone else involved, what an amazing feat and team accomplishment!

Need a Geo Dome Cover, then talk with Arizon Building Systems Australia Design Brief: Arizon unique Designed inflatable structure can cover any existing evaporation pond to stop wind-blown and contamination to the surrounding areas. This structure can be customed and designed with airlock for vehicle access to allow machinery for the movement of product. Description A Geo Cover which is similar to one of our Inflatable Dome in both concept and optics is a low-profile, low-pressure cover that attaches to a perimeter beam and is not designed for frequent occupancy. When required, the pressure can be increased inside the structure allowing machinery into the area to spread out or remove any materials that are inside This structure can either be fully translucent or white material and include blower fans and ventilation to continually assist in drying the of product such as slurry, raw minerals, etc The structure can be held in place by a continuous perimeter of pre-poured concrete slabs, so the structure is completely removeable/relocatable. Based upon areas of up to 300,000.00M2 +

In an exciting development for Australia’s clean energy future, Tellus has signed on to manage waste for ACCIONA's Kwinana Energy Recovery. Situated in Kwinana, south of Perth, KER will repurpose waste for the generation of electricity. Connected to the Western Power grid last August, the facility will soon come online, producing enough energy to power more than 50,000 homes. Energy-from-waste plants produce their own waste, in the form of Air Pollution Control residue (APCr), which, due to its complex composition, brings unique challenges. Tellus’ near-surface geological repository at Sandy Ridge, about 240km south-east of Kalgoorlie, is the ideal final destination for APCr. This is the second energy-from-waste project that is being supported by Tellus. Our partnership with nearby East Rockingham Waste to Energy, also south of Perth, means Tellus can now consider itself the exclusive waste management partner for Australia’s fledgling energy-from-waste industry. Our capacity to deal with APCr at Sandy Ridge should enable more plants to come online more quickly, and to be accepted by the community, which will benefit from greener energy in the grid. Tellus CEO Nate Smith said: “We’re excited about the opportunity for Kwinana Energy Recovery to supply renewable low carbon electricity for the residents of Perth, and that we can play a role in enabling this industry to safely start up and scale up.” “We believe we have the best facility and the best sustainability practices to enable the growth of this important sector. Our capacity to deal with APCr at Sandy Ridge should hopefully mean more plants can come to market much more quickly and be accepted by the community, who’ll benefit from renewable low carbon energy in the grid.”   General Manager of Kwinana Energy Recovery Scott Reynolds said: “With the successful firing of the boilers on gas, Kwinana Energy Recovery is moving closer to the first fire on waste. Therefore, the signing of Tellus' agreement to accept the APCr from the Energy Recovery process is an important development in the commissioning phase and ultimately commercial operations.” The #cleanenergytransition is well underway in Australia. The safe and efficient disposal of waste is a key part of that process. Tellus is proud to be playing its role.

The Radiation Safety Users Group exists as a forum to share and compare insights about radiation safety and to encourage an improved understanding of radiation safety across industry.   It was in that spirit our General Manager Radiological Sales, Robert Blackley, spoke at the recent RSUG conference in Brisbane, providing insights about options for safe and effective permanent radiological waste disposal within Australia.   With more than 24 years of experience in radiation safety, Robert reflected on current challenges and opportunities in managing waste within the radiological community, which include creating awareness of new disposal capability in Australia and working with waste holders to create sustainable waste solutions.    Education and training are key: “Tellus has invested in training and upskilling our team as well as recruiting world leading radiological experts. We believe there is no safer place in Australia for low-level radioactive waste material than Sandy Ridge,” said Robert.   “With Sandy Ridge, there is now a safe and secure nationwide solution for the permanent isolation of low-level radioactive waste material. Organisations can now safely and securely dispose of radiological waste, with the peace of mind that comes with permanent disposal”.     Since being fully licenced in early 2023, Tellus has accepted more than 800 disused sealed radioactive sources and almost 6,000 cubic metres by volume material from locations in all mainland states and territories.   With Tellus’ R&D capabilities, including Sandy Ridge Labs and our partnership with entX Limited, we continue to investigate scalable circular solutions for radiological waste and contaminated materials. #cleanenergytransition #radwaste #hazardouswaste #radiationsafety

The writing’s on the wall for hazardous waste in Australia... At Tellus, we’re passionate about solving the toughest sustainability challenges for Australia’s clean energy transition. When we have the opportunity, we love to share what we’ve built at Sandy Ridge, an Australian first. Last week, we hosted Queensland Senator Susan McDonald, Shadow Minister for Resources and Northern Australia. Senator McDonald had the opportunity to see for herself how Tellus is enabling the #cleanenergytransition right here in WA providing Australia’s safest solution to our national radioactive waste challenge and to hear how we can help support AUKUS for generations to come. In the last year alone, we’ve taken nearly 6,000 cubic metres of low-level radioactive waste from all over mainland Australia. In addition to that, we’ve disposed of tens of thousands of tonnes of hazardous chemical waste from mine sites, industrial projects, local neighbourhoods and from delicate ecosystems, all for permanent disposal in our geological repository. With critical minerals such a crucial part of the global clean energy transition, we were pleased to share how we can work with companies to responsibly manage hazardous #radiological by-products from rare earths processing, our foundational role in safe waste management for #oilandgasdecommissioning, and how we’re helping Australia achieve its hazardous waste and environmental policies. Thanks for joining us, Susan.
