We’re thrilled to announce that Citadines on Bourke Melbourne has just made things a little bit easier for electric vehicle-driving guests, with the introduction of three new 22KW charging stations in our carpark! It’s another step in our commitment to sustainable travel, and we’ve made it as simple as possible for guests to park and charge. Included in the price of our regular guest carpark, the chargers are able to completely recharge most current electric vehicles overnight, and our BYO cable option enables a wide variety of EVs to use our chargers. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to take a road trip to Melbourne - this is it! Through our Ascott CARES sustainability program, we’re focused on extending our culture of care and hospitality to the people and environments we interact with through our business and across our supply chain. 🌏 🔌 🚗 #TheAscottLimited #AscottAustralia

Five years of lyf, and many more to come! 🎉   A celebration of creativity, connection and community, #lyf celebrated its 5th anniversary last evening at the very first property in its brand portfolio - lyf Funan Singapore. It was a warm gathering of owners, media partners, associates and everyone who has played a part in lyf's journey.    Since its inception as a coliving brand in Singapore in 2019, lyf has evolved from a bold vision into a global leader in experience-led social living. Today, lyf is present in 24 cities across Australia, East Asia, Europe and Southeast Asia; and over the next few years, will begin operations in more destinations – from resort locations like Bali and Danang to cities such as London, Glasgow, Manchester, Sydney, Paris and Ho Chi Minh City.   Commemorating the special milestone, lyf unveiled 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀, a travelling art showcase designed by Singaporean contemporary artist, JAHAN LOH. Symbolising a gateway to unchartered travel experiences, the art installation reflects lyf’s ambitions to venture into new spaces and destinations, highlighting the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries and offering innovative experiences for guests. The partnership with Jahan marks the first of many collaborations with influential tastemakers to come.   The Door of Cosmic Dreams is open free to the public at its inaugural stop in Singapore till 26 October 2024, and will travel to upcoming cities such as Tokyo and Paris next.   Read more: https://lnkd.in/gUas_6-b   The Ascott Limited #TheAscottLimited #lyf #Hospitality

In exciting news, The Ascott Limited has announced a bumper crop of 28 signings in Southeast Asia this year-to-date. This expansion is set to increase Ascott’s flex-hybrid model dominance and strengthen Ascott’s leadership in the region. The new signings will boost Ascott's portfolio in Southeast Asia to over 360 properties – both operational and in the pipeline – across 86 cities in nine countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Serena Lim, Chief Growth Officer for Ascott, has said “Ascott’s flex-hybrid hotel-in-residence model is designed to meet every travel intent and accommodate various lengths of stay, appealing to property owners and developers across different asset classes and locations. This model has shown remarkable resilience during and after the pandemic, establishing itself as the preferred choice in the lodging industry. “Ascott was recognised by hospitality research firm STR as one of the top three global hospitality companies with the largest active pipeline in the region at the Southeast Asian edition of the Asian Hotel Industry Conference & Exhibition 2024 in February. “Our deep cultural understanding and strong relationships with local owners provide us with a strategic advantage, fuelling our growth within the region and supporting our expansion in markets like the United Kingdom and Australia, where our Southeast Asia-based owners also hold valuable assets. Backed by our experienced global teams with extensive local expertise, we are well positioned to drive Ascott’s global expansion.” With big things in the pipeline for Ascott both internationally and right here in Australia (look out Bondi, lyf is coming for you soon!), we’re thrilled to watch the next year unfold as we continue to grow and thrive. Award-Winning Gender Initiative: Supporting Women Through Menopause & Menstruation A groundbreaking study by Jean Hailes for Women’s Health revealed that one in five Australian women struggle with menopause or menstrual symptoms that disrupt their work. In response, Ascott Australia, a 2023 Business in Heels Gender Equity Award winner, has implemented transformative policies to support women in the workplace. Ascott’s new initiatives include six days of paid menstrual and menopause leave, six days of fertility leave, and 24 weeks of paid parental leave. These policies aim to foster inclusivity, eliminate gender discrimination, and support equal participation in the workforce. “We’re proud to lead the way in normalising women’s health in corporate settings,” says Anthea Dimitrakopoulos, General Manager of Brand and ESG at Ascott Australia. Last week at New Zealand’s Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre, the Aotearoa Australasian Hotel Industry Conference Exhibition (AHICE) brought together thought-leaders from across the industry. As a principal sponsor of the event, The Ascott Limited, Australia had a hands-on role, with James Shields, General Manager, Growth and Capital Strategy, taking part in a ‘Power Session’ that included a deep-dive into the future of long-stay apartment hotels and branded residential, and Managing Director of The Ascott Limited, Australasia David Mansfield GAICD speaking In Conversation with Ruth Hogan, editor of HM Magazine. With discussion topics across the two-day program ranging from the rise of micro hotels to the hot new hotel tech advances that are setting the industry alight, the event was a fascinating glimpse into the future of accommodation across the region. We left feeling excited, inspired and impressed at the talent and vision in Australasia’s hotel industry. “Important events, such as this, benefit us all by way of strengthening Trans-Tasman industry collaboration and understanding”, said David Mansfield. Thank you to everyone involved in making this AHICE event outstanding - we loved every moment. #TheAscottLimited #AscottAustralia #AHICE2024
