We're thrilled that our director, Georgi Coddington, is presenting today at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Milan! She will be speaking about her paper "The Astra program: Spearheading Peer-Led Workforce Development in Australia’s Space Sector" to the world’s largest space audience. We are proud to see the Astra Program represented on such a global stage, and we're confident that Georgi will do an outstanding job showcasing how we're shaping the future of Australia's space workforce. If you’re at IAC, catch her session today at 13:20 at Screen 43! Be sure to check out her post below for more details.
Delighted to announce I'll be speaking on the Astra Program at the International Astronautical Congress in Milan next week! I'll be part of the International Astronautical Federation Education and Outreach Symposium, and am really proud to be one of two Australians speaking in the IP sessions for the Symposium. To be able to speak at one of the most important, and largest, space events in the world is a huge honour, especially before I've even finished my undergraduate studies! I'm looking forward to networking, exploring the IAC and Milan, and learning lots of new things. For some nice symmetry I've also been announced as one of the six Young Australian Space Leaders for 2024 by the Australian Youth Aerospace Association (AYAA), who I am so thankful to for supporting my trip to the IAC. The Award recognises young Australians who have had an impact on the Australian space industry and is a really important way for youth in Australia to be represented in the wider space industry. A huge congratulations to my fellow awardees Alana Liebelt, Pat Underwood, Nathanael Vazouras, James Gray and Thomas M.! If you're at IAC , please let me know - I'd love to catch up for a coffee.
