Dr Charlotte Keating and Dr Jo Robinson AM have been appointed co-chairs of the Anti-Bullying Rapid Review in Australian schools. Dr Keating is a mental health advocate and a Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in Neuroscience. Dr Robinson leads the suicide prevention research unit at Orygen, which is regarded as the leading centre of youth suicide research in the world. The review will look at current school procedures and practices to address bullying with options for the development of a national approach. A further five Suburban University Study Hubs have been announced and will be opening soon in Brisbane and Sydney. The hubs are in addition to the 10 hubs announced recently and will support students in the outer suburbs of Australia’s major cities to access tertiary education. The hubs will provide study spaces, IT and internet access, and administrative, academic skills and student support services.
