A global development & testing ground for the future of automation, robotics and remote operations in Western Australia
About us
Strategically located 40km north of the Perth CBD in Western Australia, the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct will serve as a development and testing ground. The initial 51 hectare site has the potential to expand in the future, and will be used for testing, research and development, and training in autonomous, remote operations, and robotic systems and equipment. The strategy is to create and manage access to a globally linked and locally relevant test facility with test laboratories, virtual laboratories and design co-labs. Access to planned facilities will provide precinct users and researchers the opportunity to accelerate technology and analytics testing and scaling, without interrupting on-site production and activities. Industry, innovators and researchers across sectors, will have the opportunity to accelerate technology and analytics testing and scaling, without interrupting on-site production and activities. 🌏 Local Western Australian companies were showcased on a global stage at MINExpo, the world’s largest mining exhibition! From robotics to sensing technology, innovation platforms to battery systems, our WA companies demonstrated their capability to lead the future of the mining industry. Invest and Trade Western Australia (ITWA) - Americas Hub delivered a world-class program, bringing together top WA Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) companies such as: - Jevons Robotics - Safe-T-Products - CorePlan - Geographe - Switch Technologies - Hydratune - Unearthed and many more! 🤝 At the exhibition collaboration was key! The team connected WA’s METS sector with major global players such as Anglo American, Newmont Corporation, and BHP. Exciting potential for collaboration between mining and aerospace sectors was explored with AROSE and leading aerospace companies such as Blue Origin. In an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, procurement leaders from Teck Resources and Rio Tinto and sharing valuable perspectives on expanding WA’s METS presence across North America. ✨ One highlight of the week-long exhibition was the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP) showcasing its role as a world-leading technology development hub. Located just 40 minutes from Perth, it’s driving innovation in autonomous systems and more. Thank you to Austmine, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), and all the WA METS companies involved in this fantastic program which drove some great outcomes for WA! Fantastic to host InnovateUK's Battery Technologies Founder Delegation earlier this month, led by Peter Dirken. This global business innovation program supports businesses and innovators to collaborate and grow internationally. Nine ambitious innovators had the opportunity to visit the AARP - to hear a number of case studies and connect with companies in the AARP network, including Switch Technologies and Solar Energy Robotics. Blue Dolphin, Valador Inc., Auquan, Rovjok, High Temperature Material Systems, Minviro, ThinkClock Battery Labs, EQONIC and HalioGen Power also delivered a 1-min pitch to our audience, and it was useful to understand how facilities such as the AARP can play a role in accelerating innovation in the clean energy space. A special thanks to Jan Haak Alan F. and Ben Brayford for your presentations and sharing your insights. #delegationvisit #cleanenergy #batterytech #innovation

Earthtrack’s Innovative Partnership in Robotics and Automation at #AARP It was a pleasure for Earthtrack to be invited to the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP), where we witnessed firsthand some of Australia’s most groundbreaking developments in critical automation and robotics technology. We met with our collaborative partners, Solar Energy Robotics (SER) and AARP during our visit. It was a fantastic opportunity to discuss and celebrate the success of the first field trials of SER’s G2 Autonomous Solar Cleaning Robot (ASCR) that has been fitted to our Mega G2 solar lighting tower. This innovative system was specifically designed to support Earthtrack’s extensive lighting tower client base that predominantly sits in some of the harshest environments on the planet. The G2 ASCR was put through rigorous trials at the AARP in #WesternAustralia, a location ideal for simulating the harsh conditions found on live #mining sites. Over the course of one month, the robot demonstrated exceptional resilience and efficiency, simulating over 13 years of wear and tear. The results exceeded our expectations—zero downtime, pristine panel maintenance, and fully autonomous operation. A true testament to the expertise and dedication of the Solar Energy Robotics Australia team. As we now prepare for the next phase of testing in the #Pilbara, alongside an ore crusher, Earthtrack looks forward to further proving the durability of the G2 ASCR in even harsher environments. This collaboration marks another step in driving innovation forward in the solar and lighting industries, ensuring our clients benefit from cutting-edge solutions that extend the lifespan of their equipment and improve operational efficiency. #australianinnovation #solarsolutions #robotics

Great to see AARP Innovator EcoQuip Australia exhibiting at WA Mining Conference & Exhibition last week with the CORE Innovation Hub Innovation Zone. The Innovation Zone provided a great opportunity for Ecoquip to connect with likeminded businesses as well as expand their networks and awareness. See what Alex Pellicano had to say below ⬇
Next up we have EcoQuip Australia’s Head of Sales, Alex Pellicano sharing what they love about being part of the CORE Innovation Zone at this years WA Mining Conference. EcoQuip is part of both CORE and the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct and it’s fantastic to see the collaboration and connection happening across the sector.
