Absolutely thrilled to be involved in the incredible Uniting Osborne Spring Carnival. It was one of the nicest days I’ve had in aged care in my 10yrs working in the industry. The resident’s had an absolute blast on the carnival games and rides, munching on popcorn, fairy floss and dagwood dogs, and sipping fresh lemonade 🍿 🌭 🍦 Speaking to residents throughout the day, most residents couldn’t remember the last time they went on a carnival ride or won a soft toy from a carnival game! 🎯 The AHP Aged Care team, led by Ivan Padlan, ran most of the carnival games, handing out prizes and assisting residents on and off rides (even having a go on them too!). I’m incredibly proud of the AHP staff for ensuring the day ran smoothly and grateful to partner with Uniting, who hosted such a memorable event. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, excitement, and nostalgia, which is exactly what AHP is committed to bringing to older Australians. We aim to make a difference by bringing fun, laughter, and motivation to our residents’ lives. 🎈✨

🌟 We're thrilled to announce the recipients of AHP's Employee of the Month for August 2024: Physiotherapists - Alison Carlisle and Aaron Pearce 🏆 'Since joining AHP in December, Alison and Aaron have proven to be a fantastic duo and an absolute pleasure to work with. As exceptional communicators and advocates for their residents, Alison and Aaron are not only dedicated to advancing their own knowledge and education but also committed to sharing their insights with fellow AHP clinicians. Their strong relationships with facility management, clinical and care staff, and residents highlight the rapport they’ve built and the synergy they bring to their team. Both Alison and Aaron have been pivotal in delivering our manual handling training services, including conducting Train the Trainer sessions to ensure our AHP staff maintain the same high standards, as well as providing manual handling training across RACF and homecare. We are incredibly grateful to have them as part of the AHP team!' Abbey Short - AHPs Gold Coast/Northern Rivers Area Manager.

She recently presented a detailed overview of RA in the hand to the VIC team, receiving acclaim from both her peers and site management. Her implementation of AHP initiatives and popular exercise classes have received positive feedback from residents and their families.
