In response to the recent issues due to CrowdStrike's security software update, many teams across Australia have been working diligently since Friday afternoon to restore affected systems. We encourage everyone to remain supportive and calm during this period and avoid jumping to conclusions. We are sure that the CrowdStrike team is working diligently to resolve the issue and support their customers. Given the rigorous diligence typically exercised in testing and controls prior to the release of such updates, this incident comes as a surprise. We expect CrowdStrike to provide a transparent explanation of the factors leading to this incident and to share lessons learned to improve resilience against such occurrences in future. In the meantime, let’s offer our support to those on the frontlines, who are working relentlessly to restore systems and services.
