    Wonderful to see the ASI-nominated NSW Art Gallery Sydney Modern Project take out the Best Project of the Year at the World Steel Association (WSA) constructsteel conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. The project was recognised for its innovative efficiency and design practices, most notably its 54% reduction in whole-of-life carbon emissions by harnessing renewable energy sources. Great effort by all the project team. Structural engineer at Arup Andrew Phillips is pictured receiving the award from Leon Topalian, the chair, president and CEO of North America’s largest steel producer and recycler Nucor Corporation. Arup advised on the structural, civil, fire safety, fire and hydraulic security, acoustic and traffic elements of the Sydney Modern Project. #worldsteelassociation; #NSWArtGallery; #SydneyModern;
