Dog's of Avenues Australia- Meet Lilly! Lilly is the "Manager of Paw-ductivity" at Avenues Australia, where her job description is simple: bring joy, ignore deadlines, and ensure that no one leaves the office without a smile.  Lilly’s energy is nothing short of contagious, and she often finds herself in the middle of important meetings, tail-wagging, and asking way too many questions about everyone’s lunch plans. Lilly’s core values include curiosity, enthusiasm, and a level of playfulness that defies all office etiquette. While others are buried in spreadsheets and deadlines, Lilly is busy ensuring that the office remains a pawsitive place to be. Lilly’s superpower is her ability to turn any stressful situation into a cuddle session, even if it involves sitting on your lap while you’re trying to type an email.  At the end of the day, Lilly’s mantra is simple: "Work hard, play harder, and never underestimate the power of a good belly rub." #avenuesaustralia #ndis #disability #agedcare #mentalhealth #perth #melbourne

Recent NDIS Changes: What Do They Mean For You? The NDIS announced a series of significant changes commencing October 3rd, 2024. At Avenues Australia, we understand the many major changes you need to navigate. We’re here to help you understand what these updates mean for you, as they clarify how the NDIS is intended to operate now and in to the future. To assist with the transition to the clarified rules, the NDIS implemented a 30-day provider transition period, which ends tomorrow on November 1st. NDIS has highlighted the need for accurate claims, as repeated incorrect claims or fraud could lead to significant consequences, including potential debt for providers and self-managed participants. Working together to align supports with the approved list and adapting to the changes, will ensure both providers and participants have a good experience. Our team at Avenues Australia is ready to support you during this transition. For a summary of the key changes and their implications, please visit our website to learn more: https://zurl.co/xY7J #NDIS #AvenuesAustralia

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has introduced updated definitions of NDIS supports through the release of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Getting the NDIS Back on Track No. 1) (NDIS Supports) Transitional Rules 2024. These rules clarify which supports are covered and which are not, along with transitional provisions for pre-existing plans. The rules outline NDIS supports, replacement support determinations, and exceptions, including a comprehensive list of supports that generally do not qualify. You can view the full list of approved supports here: https://zurl.co/pw6C Our team is currently reviewing these changes to understand their impact on NDIS participants and will work closely with clients to ensure minimal disruption to their funded supports.

New global research co-led by The University of Queensland and Harvard Medical School reveals that 1 in 2 people will experience a mental health disorder at some point in their life. These disorders often begin in childhood, adolescence, or early adulthood. Investing in early intervention and community-based, non-acute mental health support is key to preventing lifelong challenges and improving mental health outcomes.  #MentalHealth #EarlyIntervention https://zurl.co/2Rwv
