We've successfully received binding commitments for a private placement to raise $750,000 (before costs) (Placement). The Placement will comprise the issue of 15,000,000 new fully paid ordinary shares (Placement Shares) in the Company at an issue price of $0.05 per share. The Placement proceeds will be used to part fund project generation, working capital and exploration activities in Canada. March 2024 Quarterly Activities Report HIGHLIGHTS: - Balkan Mining and Minerals Ltd (“BMM”) exploration activities during the quarter was primarily focused on evaluation of the Gorge Lithium Project (Ontario, Canada) - BMM evaluated the data received from exploration completed at the Tango Lithium Project with a view to progress the project during the upcoming field season - Currently BMM is awaiting assays from a 1,500m diamond drill program completed at Gorge in Q2 FY24. The company is working on the delivery of the assays with the contactor responsible and will release the results as soon as possible - BMM continues to conserve capital with limited on-ground exploration and is evaluating opportunities outside the Ontario region to identify assets complementary to the Company’s existing portfolio and skillsets with potential to add significant shareholder value “Whilst we are frustrated by delays in receiving the assays from our maiden diamond drilling activity conducted at the Gorge Lithium Project in Ontario, we have nevertheless conducted valuable analysis of the data collected to date during the quarter. We are attempting to resolve the issues preventing us access to the assays with a third party and intend to release the assay results as soon as they are received. Our 4th post focuses on #lithium in Ontario, Canada, which has drawn the attention of 22 exploration & developing companies, 27% of them being Australian. Ontario Government | Gouvernement de l’Ontario ranks Top 12 of the world for its Investment Attractiveness measured in The Fraser Institute Annual Survey of Mining Companies 2022. Lithium mineralization primarily occurs as #spodumene (LiAlSi2O6) hosted in #pegmatites, coarse-textured igneous rocks, typically of granitic composition and of elongated/irregular shapes, typically occurring as dykes or lenses. There are currently 29 active projects in Ontario, where the average resource size for a project being 15.7 Mt @ 1.1% Li2O. The image below the map shows the number of lithium projects in Ontario distributed through the #LassondeCurve, where only 8 projects are in resource definition/PEA stage and no producing assets yet exist. TSX Venture Exchange company Frontier Lithium holds the largest lithium resource in this district, the Pakeagama Lake PEA stage project (58 Mt @ 1.5% Li2O), whereas Rock Tech Lithium holds a PFS stage project next in the pipeline to become a producing operation. Companies with PEA stage projects include TSX Venture Exchange-listed Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. and ASX-listed Critical Resources. Companies with resource defined projects include ASX-listed Green Technology Metals with two projects and TSX Venture Exchange-listed Imagine Lithium Inc. and International Lithium Corp., Trading Symbols TSX.V:ILC OTCQB:ILHMF FRA:IAH TSX Venture Exchange-listed explorers in this region include Grid Metals Corp. December 2023 Quarterly Activities Report Highlights: • Diamond drilling undertaken at the Gorge Lithium Project with for a program of 2,500m with spodumene bearing pegmatites encountered in several holes drilled • Drill program currently awaiting assays for approximately 180 samples • Clearing and stripping work undertaken in preparation for the drill program reveals previously unmapped pegmatites and extensions to some known pegmatite occurrences at Gorge, further underlining the project’s potential • Balkan remains committed to evaluating new project opportunities • Mr Karl Simich appointed Non-Executive Chairman “The maiden diamond drilling activity conducted at our flagship Gorge Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada has revealed a widespread and prolific pegmatite hosted spodumene geology.
