Congratulations to Ling, celebrating a 25 years with Quinzi’s Confectionery! 🎉🍫 In 1998, Ling joined the team at Quinzi's Confectionery, a beloved family business in Stepney, run by Joe and Antonetta Quinzi. Through Barkuma's DES program, Ling found more than a job; he found a family and a purpose. Over the years, his roles have ranged from crafting delicious Sugar-coated Almonds to ensuring the factory is clean and ready for production, always with a smile and unmatched positivity. While working he has completed a Certificate in Food Production, improving his confectionery knowledge and production. Celebrating 25 years of service, Ling was honoured with a gold watch from the Quinzi family, a symbol of gratitude for his invaluable contribution and a testament to the power of inclusion and support in the workplace. A big shoutout to Coles Group for their unwavering commitment to creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities🙌 In this video by Coles you will meet Lorraine and the team at the Churchill Bakery Hub, who are currently empowering 10 individuals, thanks to the support from Barkuma’s Disability Employment Service. The collaboration originated when the Churchill Bakery Hub team identified a need for employees capable of performing simple, repetitive tasks. By engaging with Barkuma, they were able to align Bakery Hub positions with the talents of the participants we support.🤝 And let's talk about Coles! They've gone above and beyond to foster a safe and supportive environment, enabling people with disabilities to earn, contribute, and thrive. Coles truly understands the power of a diverse workforce and its benefits.
