An integrated engineering consultancy, project management and construction company, with end-to-end project delivery.
About us
Bellwether is an emerging, multi-disciplined, national professional services and contracting firm. We provide construction planning, estimating, project management, independent review services and principal contractor capability to the transport infrastructure, water, mining and oil & gas sectors. Borne out of the major construction industry (primarily transport infrastructure), the team at Bellwether couple their extensive construction planning, delivery and review experience with a systematic and process driven approach to ensure robust and consistent results. Established in 2011, Bellwether has strategically and organically developed its capability, capacity and processes such that today the company offers a range of professional services to blue-chip clients delivering major infrastructure projects across Australia. A significant milestone for Bellwether in 2018, was the restructuring of the group to separate our consulting division and our construction division. This planned restructure provides a clear separation of our offerings to the market. Our consulting offering is primarily client-facing and incorporates all fixed fee and variable rate (hourly or capped daily) professional services work. The consulting team also provides a pre-contract-estimating function for Bellwether Contractors. Bellwether Contractors will continue to be a principal contractor, with a core charter of pursuing projects that offer design and construct disciplines, and/or collaborative approaches and/or challenging engineering issues others shy away from. The synergies between the businesses allow us to provide value to our clients across the entire project life cycle.

Exciting to see Bellwether Consulting’s contribution to the Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area (PDA) Development Scheme take shape. As part of Brisbane’s urban renewal initiative, this precinct is set to become a thriving mixed-use hub and home to the Athlete’s Village for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. Our team at Bellwether Consulting Services played a crucial role in preparing detailed Concept Design cost estimates for the civil works. By applying rigorous risk management and collaborating closely with ADG and EDQ, we delivered accurate, reliable estimates that align with the project’s goals. These comprehensive cost projections assisted in the financial planning for this significant development and support the vision for a world-class precinct. We’re proud to be part of such a transformative project for Brisbane! We’re thrilled to share that Bellwether has been awarded the construction project for Gatton-Helidon Road Section 3 AND 4 🎉 This significant project will involve: - Road widening for enhanced safety and traffic flow - Addition of granular and asphalt pavement layers - Installation of new culverts These projects are a key part of the broader $67.1 million investment to improve traffic safety and efficiency on Gatton-Helidon Road, funded equally by the Australian (Scott Buchholz MP) and Queensland Governments (Jim McDonald MP) through the Road Safety Program. Our commitment to excellence continues with these projects in the Lockyer Valley region. We’re proud to contribute to the enhancement of road safety and connectivity for the Gatton, Grantham, and Helidon communities. #Bellwether #RoadSafety #Infrastructure #GattonHelidonRoad #ConnectingCommunities #LockyerValley #ConstructionExcellence

Kudos to the Bellwether Group Bridge to Brisbane team, affectionately known (misguidedly for some) as 'the Bellwether Runners'! Along with 35 000 others, our team participated in this awesome charity event and helped raise money for Parkinson’s Queensland. Shout out to The Courier-Mail B2B organisers, another great day. With times ranging from 37 minutes to over 2 hours across the team, we appreciate and encourage not just our staff, but the entire family. This event strengthens our team bonds, brings us together (and, yes, makes us suffer together!), and allows us to connect with our colleagues and families while championing an important cause. It truly showcases the strength of our exceptional work culture. You can also make a donation to Parkinson's Queensland via this link: https://lnkd.in/gqY67GHH #bridgetobrisbane #bridgetobrisbane2024 #runners #culture

Back to Uni! 🏫 Representatives from Bellwether Group were thrilled to attend The University of Queensland Engineering Careers Fair last Friday. The University of Queensland is where many of our team members' journeys began (quite a few years ago for some!). It was inspiring to see such enthusiastic students with a wealth of knowledge and a thirst for more. We are confident that the future of engineering is in capable hands! Many thanks Winnie & the team at the UQ EUS (UQ Engineering Undergraduate Society) for a great day.
