Market leader in compostable packaging | B Corp | Percentage of profits to positive change

About us

BioPak was founded with the intention of disrupting an industry that was ripe for change, and a significant contributor to the degradation of the environment in the packaging it produced and the resources it consumed. We believe there is a better way of doing things. That’s why all of our packaging is made from responsibly-sourced plant-based materials, designed for a circular economy and carbon neutral from resource to disposal. It starts with responsibly-sourced materials, continues with environmentally certified manufacturing processes, and ends with nutrient-rich compost that can be used to regenerate soil, grow new plants and help fight climate change. More than just going plastic-free, BioPak's compostable packaging and compost collection service mean we can all join the movement towards zero waste. We offset all carbon emissions associated with the production, distribution and disposal of our products. We donate 7.5% of profits to Rainforest Rescue (Australia) and Forest & Bird (New Zealand), two conservation organisations fighting to protect and restore our national forests, as well as local charities and offset all carbon associated with our products. As a certified BCorp, we are legally required to consider the impact of our decisions on our workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. This is a community of leaders, driving a global movement of people using businesses as a force for good.

Reusable HuskeeCups are now available on the BioPak website 🌿 We’ve always held a vision of a circular economy – and now we recognise that the best way to make the transition is through a combination of compostable and reusable packaging. That’s why we’ve joined forces with Huskee – reusable coffee cups made from coffee husk that otherwise would have gone to waste. Plus, they’re beautifully aesthetic, comfortable to hold, and dishwasher safe. HuskeeCups also act as your passport to the HuskeeSwap program – a reuse system where coffee lovers can exchange their cup for a clean one in participating cafes (there are a few of them). So, are you ready to buy a HuskeeCup or become a participating cafe? Learn more and join the movement on the BioPak website ☕ https://ow.ly/JnKX50TLm6c

This year, our OzHarvest Christmas Cups are extra special 🎄 2024 marks OzHarvest’s 20th birthday and their goal to put 5 million meals on the table for people in need through their ‘Unite to Feed Australia’ campaign. This goal was born from a heartbreaking statistic - that for around 10 million Australians, food has become a luxury item. To help OzHarvest reach their goal, we're donating an extra 50,000 meals to Australians in need – on top of our regular and ongoing commitment. If you’d like to make a difference with us, our OzHarvest Christmas Cups are back in 2024 🌟 5% of all Christmas Cup sales go directly to OzHarvest. Plus, each cup comes with a QR code, allowing coffee drinkers to donate a little extra and give the gift of food. Every $5 donated = 10 meals. If you’d love to get behind this incredible cause while adding a festive touch to your customer’s morning coffee, pre-order our OzHarvest Christmas BioCups now 🎄

Last week, six students from the Packaging Professional BSc at Sheffield Hallam University took on an exciting challenge! 👏 Organised by Deliveroo and Biopak UK, the competition tasked the students to design innovative, sustainable food packaging that prevents spills, keeps food at the perfect temperature, and remains cost-effective for restaurants. A great showcase of creativity and innovative solutions! 🧰🌱 Sam Walker, our Technical Director said: “As Deliveroo's packaging partner for almost 10 years, we understand the challenges restaurants face in finding responsible and functional packaging. Seeing Sheffield Hallam's students identify the same issues but tackle them from a fresh perspective has been incredibly inspiring.
