Meet Kassie! Kassie started her career at Bonds working in stores and is now a passionate Assistant Visual Merchandising Manager, check out her story below ⤵ What does a typical day look like for you? I’m going to be very cliché and say every day is different! One day I’m out in Bonds stores merchandising socks & undies, the next I’m immersed in spreadsheets allocating signage. Other days I could be working with next seasons samples! What is your favourite thing about the role? Finally seeing our campaigns come to life! We start planning so far in advance & it’s like a jig saw puzzle, there are so many pieces (people) that all need to work together. It is SO rewarding seeing the entire network transform all at once! What has been your most memorable moment so far? Honestly there’s too many, I’ve been in the company for almost 2 decades! Last year's Bloody Comfy Hotel campaign was a personal fave, over 7000 pieces of signage was sent to stores and the windows were incredible!!! How did you get into Visual Merchandising? I LOVED merchandising when I worked in store, evaluating what was/ not working constantly to always be driving and pushing sales. I was very vocal about my next steps, and I put my hand up for every VM opportunity. New store bump ins, training managers, supporting other stores during big campaigns & head office support with the VM briefs… now here we are! #BeInGoodCompany #GoodPeople #GoodCareers

This year, August 30th is Wear It Purple Day; a day where we stand proudly with LGBTQIA+ young people nationwide in the face of discrimination. Official stats say that a whopping 66% of the youth LGBTQIA+ community still experience discrimination, and we want to be part of changing that number. It's up to all of us to create an inclusive Australia, so join us as we go Purple. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Get involved via the Minus18 Foundation or find out more on their website: minus18.org.au #Bonds #BeInGoodCompany #GoodImpact

When the federal government proposes to classify period products as ‘lifestyle related’, affecting those on the NDIS, it’s hard to stand by and do nothing. At Bonds, we strongly disagree that menstrual management is a lifestyle choice – but rather a basic need. Period. Research conducted by Share The Dignity shows that 78% of Australians with disability who menstruate cannot afford period products. Since launching our Bloody Comfy Period Undies range, we’re proud to have donated over 49,000 pairs to communities and organisations in need to support individuals experiencing period poverty. If you want a bloody good deal, you can shop our range now at the jaw-dropping price of $15 (and use them over & over & over again), or head to this link & make your voice count for Aussies with disability: https://lnkd.in/gSqSFm5N

Well, that's a wrap on Queer Formal Melbourne – OUR BIGGEST ONE YET! 🌈 Thanks to your support, over 800 young people celebrated queer joy with their community. For many, it was their first event shared with queer community – and what an event it was! From the performers, to the activities, to all the new friendships formed – it was a truly magical night. As one of our attendees said: "The room felt like it was filled with love!" We want to say a big thank you to everyone who filled the room with love even before the event began. Following unfortunate attacks from conservative groups we received in the lead up to the event, you all rallied behind us, volunteered your support, and donated to help the event. We were absolutely blown away. And with all hands on deck, including a warm welcome from @rainbowcommunityangels outside the venue, we're so glad that 99% of attendees reported they felt safe at the event. Another one of our attendees said: "It’s such an open and accepting community which not only made it easier but also just had a smile on my face the whole time knowing that everyone was safe and welcomed there." This is what Queer Formal is all about – creating a space where everyone feels safe and welcome to dance, dress, and be exactly who they are. A big thank you to our incredible pals Bonds, Converse, National Gallery of Victoria, Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth), EACH, City of Melbourne, Queerspace Youth. This is one for the history books 🫶 And, did you know? We do three Queer Formals a year – one in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. And Adelaide, you're next up in November! Stay tuned for details.
