The Bunya Fund, established by the BCCM, is Australia’s first co-operative development fund dedicated to empowering the next generation of high-impact co-ops and mutuals. Rooted in the sixth co-operative principle, "Cooperation among Cooperatives," this fund fuels growth and resilience within Australia’s co-operative movement. Through the Bunya Fund, new and high-impact co-ops receive financial support to expand their impact and reach. One of our inspiring round three recipients is The Rural Women’s Co-operative. Hear directly from Rebel Black, founder of this trailblazing co-op, as she shares her vision and journey with us. Thanks to our Round 3 funders Bank Australia, Australian Unity, CBH Group and APS Benefits Group. https://lnkd.in/gRn6ADaM #BunyaFund #CoopDevelopmentFund #TheRuralWomensCooperative

"Capricorn’s whole reason for existing is to help its Members build stronger businesses ... In our co-operative’s 50 years of operation, that vision has never changed. We might have changed the way we say it, we might have expanded our range of Members, but the truth of it hasn’t changed." David Fraser, Capricorn Society https://lnkd.in/gshA4hEX

Mutual Value Measurement lead researcher and director of the Monash #MutualValueLab Paul Thambar was on hand to present CivicRisk Mutual’s Andrew Armitstead and Lisa Williams with their #MutualValueAccreditation. Congratulations to CivicRisk Mutual and StateCover Mutual on being the first Australian mutuals to gain reaccreditation for #MutualValueMeasurement (MVM). This accreditation confirms that these organisations are practising MVM as intended by the Framework. We now have nine accredited organisations. MVM is gaining momentum internationally with a second building society in the UK following the example of Newcastle Building Society and implementing MVM to identify, measure and communicate the total value created by the organisation for stakeholders. Find out more about how your co-op or mutual can measure its mutual value: https://mvm.coop/ #MVM #MutualValue #BCCMSummit
