The Australian Government is investing $55 million in 23 business-research collaborations to develop world-leading innovations. Round 16 Cooperative Research Centre Projects (CRC-P) includes: ➡️ CPC Engineering developing a new process to separate iron ore, aluminium and other metals. ➡️ Roc Technologies designing, manufacturing and deploying foundations for offshore renewable energy. The successful grant recipients include Australian businesses and research organisations working in agriculture, clean technology, infrastructure, health, mining and manufacturing. The projects support partnerships which improve competitiveness, productivity and sustainability of Australian industries. CRC-Ps strengthen links between industry and research organisations, to develop new technologies, products, processes and services. CRC-P grants support industry-led research projects, offering matched funding of between $100,000 and $3 million. Grants are for a period of up to 3 years. Cybercrimes can be a big worry for small business owners, but it can be hard to know where to start when it comes to protecting your business or bouncing back after a cyber incident. The Australian Government has launched the Small Business Cyber Resilience Service, which is a one-stop-shop for small businesses to get personalised cyber security support. The Small Business Cyber Resilience Service is free to access for small businesses with 19 employees or less, including sole traders. The service is run by IDCARE which is a national, not-for-profit service, specialising in cyber support. You can access the service by calling helpline on 1800 595 170, or by submitting a request through IDCARE’s website.
