Lynn Huang, Finance Manager at BWH Hotels Australasia had the pleasure of flying over to Charlotte, North Carolina US to attend the BWH Hotels Convention, with this year’s theme being Accelerate. With 3,000 attendees, a robust trade show with nearly 300 exhibitors, and a welcome reception at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, it has been a great experience. The Accelerate Convention kicked off with over 100 golfers participating in the Golf for Best Western for a Better World event plus inspirational presentations at the 7th Annual Women & Diversity Forum. There were general sessions filled with highlights of the key accomplishments and forward-looking strategies for the brand. It’s always fantastic to connect globally as a company, and the Charlotte Convention Centre allowed for a fantastic base. 🌟 Employee Spotlight – Emma Anderson🌟 Joining the BWH team in June 2022, Emma began her hotel industry journey at Best Western Hobart where she gained experience in various roles including Accounting and Front Office management. She then transitioned into the BWH team taking on the role of #RevenueManager. Based in Hobart, Emma currently manages several leisure-focused and strategically important properties in the Best Western portfolio. Her efforts consistently receive positive feedback from the hotels she supports, and this year, two of the properties she manages were recognised for excellence at the BWH Annual Conference. Emma is a true #animallover and spends her free time riding horses competing intrastate in competitions. In addition to horses, Emma has a soft spot for dogs, currently travelling around Tasmania showing German Shepherds and two Miniature Dachshunds.
