Thanks to Max Blenkin and the Australian Defence Magazine for the nice article highlighting the achievements of C2 Robotic's Speartooth Large Uncrewed Underwater Vessel at the recent Autonomous Warrior '24 / AUKUS Maritime Big Play event at Jervis Bay. It also discusses Speartooth's maturity and extensive in-water T&E. The potential operational impacts are profound. C2 Robotic's Marcus Hellyer is quoted in the article saying: “With the proliferation of modern energy storage techniques, we are breaking the association between size and range. Previously, if you wanted to go a long way you needed to be big. “Now you can operate over long distances with a relatively small platform. The C2 Robotics team is back from a very successful Autonomous Warrior 2024 / AUKUS Maritime Big Play at Jervis Bay showcasing our Speartooth Large Uncrewed Underwater Vessel's abilities. All the hundreds of hours of real world testing and trials in the water over the past two and half years are really paying off in terms of reliability. Speartooth demonstrated once again it is ready to go, right out of the box, delivering payloads with precision, stealth and reliability. It's been a lot of hard work to get this far so quickly. Great effort by the team demonstrating to Defence seniors, overseas visitors and media how mature the Speartooth capability is.
