"It takes a village". Or maybe a convoy, or 2. The #EAIE2024 conference is over, we are still halfway through the post-conference recovery phase. We were excited to see how big the Sustainability Corner has become, happy about the number of climate-action-related sessions, and hyper-excited about the results of our #TravelWithCANIE initiative. The result - over 70 tonnes of CO2 saved - exceeded our expectations, and we are grateful to every single green traveler for their low-carbon and climate-conscious choice. THANK YOU! However, individual choice cannot be the only way forward. ❗ We need systemic change. ❗We need top-down decisions and policies. ❗We urge all the players in the arena to take responsibility (small or big that it can be) and act. Now. ❗We urge conference organizers to choose the location of their events considering participants' travel impact. ❗We urge you all to start measuring your emissions. Until 2025, #TravelWithCANIE!
