The Therapeutic Goods and Other Legislation Amendment (Vaping Reforms) Bill 2024 is currently before Parliament.   This Bill proposes new controls on the manufacture, supply, commercial possession and advertisement of vapes. The changes would make it unlawful for anyone to supply vaping substances, accessories, or devices in Australia outside of pharmacy settings. Businesses and individuals commercially involved with vaping goods should keep up-to-date about these changes and the progress of the Bill, as penalties would apply for non-compliance.   Vapes that do not contain nicotine and do not make therapeutic claims can continue to be supplied by non-pharmacy retailers in accordance with the conditions described on the TGA’s website and state and territory law until the Bill commences.   Retailers are reminded to sell down existing stock in anticipation of the proposed changes.   Information will be updated on the TGA website as the Bill progresses: https://lnkd.in/deHwB7E8
