Project spotlight: FM Global 📍 Location: 600 Bourke Street 📏 Area: 1,400sqm ⏱️ Duration: 10 weeks 🤝 Collaborators: Grant Hobson, Carr Design Capabuild was thrilled to partner again with Grant Hobson Consulting and Carr Design to deliver FM Global's office fitout at 600 Bourke Street. Working under a Construction Management model, we navigated the complexities of a large built environment, ensuring early design resolution to secure materials and mitigate program risks. Given the extensive material requirements, we strategically scheduled deliveries, using the goods lift at night to maintain daytime site operations. The high-end joinery throughout the front of house, meeting and breakout spaces required meticulous attention to detail, leading us to carefully select a joiner who collaborated closely with Carr Design. This ensured that every element met the exacting standards of both the client and the design team. The result is a sophisticated, well-crafted space that perfectly aligns with FM Global's vision and sets a new benchmark in quality.
