Webuild, a global leader in tunnelling and infrastructure, has played a pivotal role in Australia’s development since the 1970s, beginning with the Melbourne Underground Rail Loop (City Loop). Their contributions include landmark projects like the Sydney Metro Northwest, the North East Link road tunnels, and Snowy 2.0 hydropower development, helping drive sustainable infrastructure across the country. Capitol’s relationship with Webuild began in 2019, when we delivered their Executive Suite at Rialto Towers. Now, we are thrilled to provide a new Design & Construct fit-out solution, supporting Webuild’s ongoing growth in Melbourne. Project | Everland Global Pty Ltd The Everland Global front-of-house fit-out was lavished with high-end finishes and delivered in one of the shortest of construction periods we’ve worked on—just four weeks. Consisting of timber floors, stone-clad walls, flush plaster ceilings, stone and timber veneer joinery, and a supplementary air-conditioning system, Capitol managed the delivery of the project in time for Everland’s International company launch function. The remainder of the back-of-house fit-out was completed 4 weeks later to align with the client’s former lease expiry. Project | K&L Gates Capitol were engaged for the challenge of refurbishing the existing K&L Gates Lawyers 5600m2 tenancy over 3 floors, including refurbishment of base building areas including 12 bathrooms, 8 lift lobbies with the addition of mechanical plant room, and on-floor electrical, fire, and mechanical services. Adding to the challenge—all construction works were undertaken whilst the client remained occupied in areas of their tenancy. The key to Capitol’s effective delivery was the implementation of extensive WH&S procedures to operate safely and efficiently onsite. Project | 520 Collins Street, Melbourne From concept to completion, Capitol collaborated closely with the former building owner and architect on a design and construct package for the refurbishment of the ground floor lobby at 520 Collins Street. Leveraging our experience from prototype refurbishments on Levels 3 and 10, Capitol successfully modernised the area with dark colours, bold finishes and clean lines. Comprehensive traffic management measures were required to ensure we were able to maintain a safe, operational environment for the public and building occupants. Additionally Capitol were also engaged to deliver premium End of Trip facilities at 520 Collins Street. Despite long supply lead times and extensive preparation work, the project was delivered on time, within budget, and to the high standards outlined in the design brief, earning high praise from the building owner and tenants. Project | Department of Transport and Planning Capitol was tasked with a 10,200m² fit-out project for the Victoria Department of Transport across 6 floors of the Rialto Towers. This involved demolishing existing tenancies and integrated the base building refurbishment of lift lobbies, amenities, and tenancy areas The project came with a challenging program deadline and a non-negotiable practical completion and occupation date. Leveraging their expertise in integrated fit-out scenarios, our team conducted a thorough evaluation and forecast to ensure budget adherence. Partnering with KHID and Aston Consulting our team facilitated a timely design and documentation solution aligned with the staged program.
