A great article by our CEO Chris Noone exploring the extremely nuanced world of EV car sales and EV adoption. "Everyone’s use case for a car is different and very specific to them and so we all have different needs in terms of range and charging. You don’t know how realistic these fears are until you actually drive an EV for a reasonable period of time. The ‘cost of entry’ to find out if an EV suits your needs is very high - $40,000 or up for a new EV. That’s a big outlay and a massive risk if you decide an EV is not suitable. The high depreciation and low resale value for some of the early EVs coming on the used vehicle market now certainly does not encourage experimentation. This issue was mainly due to early EVs being massively overpriced and used car values now adjusting in proportion to more realistic new EV selling prices." #ev #electricvehicles #evtrial #carsubscription
