  • On International Women's Day, we're celebrating the 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 women in our team 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆. Women like 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲, one of our dedicated Domestic and Family Violence Practitioners. Based in Longreach, Alice provides vital support to individuals and families, helping them 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 and move towards a 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. Living and working in a rural community comes with its own challenges. Distance, limited resources, and the tight-knit nature of small communities can make finding help even harder. With the support of our entire DFV team, Alice ensures people have the 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱, when they 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁, no matter where they live. With this year’s International Women’s Day theme, 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙: 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙂𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙨, we celebrate Alice and the many women driving change in their communities. Their work 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, their impact is 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹, and their dedication 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 us all. 💜 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: DVConnect: 1800 811 811 1800RESPECT: 1800 737 732 CatholicCare Domestic and Family Violence Response: 07 4977 4107
