🌟 Thrilled to have been part of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science (COMBS) launch. Even more excited to be part of this Centre, working alongside experts in optical physics, geophysics, astrophysics and communications advancing the field of photonics! 🌟 It was a privilege to be on the panel discussion talking about my work in developing breath analysis technology for detecting biomarkers that may indicate the presence of disease before symptoms present. Along with applying new microscopic techniques to extract maximum information from samples without damaging them to progress fields like IVF to improve IVF success rates. Huge thanks to panel chair Rachael Vorwerk and fellow panellists Prof. Meghan S. Miller (COMBS Chief Investigator, The Australian National University) and Michaël R. (Chief Security Officer and Co-Founder, terra15) for the fascinating discussion of the science we do in COMBs, and what the future might look like in 2050 with COMBs technology. Congrats to Prof Arnan Mitchell and the COMBs operation team on the launch! I’m looking forward to seeing the Centre transform industries such as telecommunications to environmental monitoring to health care. Here’s to the future of microcomb technology! 🥂 #ARC_COMBs #Photonics #Innovation #OpticalMicrocombs #ProudMoment RMIT University, University of Adelaide, Centre of Light for Life, Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS), Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology
