⭐ New #PulmonaryFibrosis Clinical Trials ⭐ The PACT Network has newly endorsed pulmonary fibrosis clinical trials seeking participants. Medicine and patient treatments would not have advanced as much as they have without the essential contribution of clinical trial participants. Transforming the lives of people with pulmonary fibrosis across Australia.
About us
Pulmonary fibrosis encompasses a group of lung disorders which share the hallmark of fibrosis or scarring of the lung. The single most prevalent and devastating of these disorders is idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a severe and progressive lung disorder with a median survival of only 2-5 years from diagnosis. Funded in 2017 by the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council, our Centre of Research Excellence in Pulmonary Fibrosis aims to build research capacity in this area. The CRE-PF will enable our nationally coordinated, clinically focused research program to address the urgent need for more effective, personalised approaches to identify and better manage fibrotic lung diseases, as well as to educate the public and train future generations of researchers in pulmonary fibrosis.

Got some thoughts on pulmonary fibrosis research? In 2019, we identified the top 25 research priorities for pulmonary fibrosis based on what was important for people living with the disease, caregivers, healthcare professionals and researchers. Five years on, the CRE-PF team is reviewing and refreshing these priorities. The updated list of priorities will guide pulmonary fibrosis researchers over the next 5 years. We want to hear from you! Are you: ✔️ Living with pulmonary fibrosis? ✔️ A caregiver of someone with pulmonary fibrosis? ✔️ A healthcare provider or researcher involved with pulmonary fibrosis? Complete this new 5-10 minute online questionnaire to have your say on the top research priorities for pulmonary fibrosis: https://lnkd.in/grc9PZGx Learn more here https://lnkd.in/gin3KPXt or email Gabriella.Tikellis@monash.edu. Please share this widely with your networks and remember the questionnaire closes on Sunday 3rd November, 2024.
