More Than a Speaker Agency. Warning: Our speakers may cause side effects of inspiration and action.

About us

We Are ‘More Than a Speaker Agency’. Here’s How and Why. We’re a speaker agency honouring women’s voices. We’re a movement challenging society’s labels. We’re a social enterprise supporting young women to have a safe home and support. Our agency celebrates diverse women's voices through raw and liberating stories of life and leadership. Our women have dared to push the boundaries, and they've been labelled because they don’t conform. Strengthened from their experiences they’ve smashed business and personal goals. Our movement unites women through storytelling. Their desire and ability to share personal experiences challenge the labels assigned to us for way too long. Our merch spreads the message, sparks conversations and ignites the inner rebel. We help corporates energise their teams with speakers that ignite the power of the human spirit. Our posse of women speakers boldly share how, through determination and vision, they built charities and businesses from the ground up to challenge the status quo and create a better world for us all. We go beyond typical corporate speeches at Challenge The Label (CTL). We bring you raw, unfiltered stories of women who have tackled the world’s biggest problems and emerged stronger. Their stories will put a fire in your belly. They’ve pivoted, pirouetted, disrupted, ducked n dived their way to leadership. By the end of the speech, your team will be ready to face the challenges of life and business head-on. When you book with us, you elevate the voices of amazing women. If we want a gender-equal world, we need to hear women's perspectives as often as men's.

MECCA Brands supported me to dream about, create and launch Challenge The Label! 🌠     MECCA MPOWER has supported Bridge It for three years in so many different, game changing ways. When I let them know that I had a dream to create a social enterprise which would elevate the voices of women and would donate 50% of profits to Bridge It, they jumped straight on board to help with the creation of the branding and strategy.    I want to say a HUGE thankyou to.... 🌟 Sarah Bailey for believing in me and supporting the very early thinking about CTL. 🌟 Wendy Bonnici for assisting me to imagine how the business could work and grow. 🌟 Lisa Keenan gave me encouragement to back myself and be courageous. 🌟 Clare Armstrong and Dimitra Mathioudakis who created the CTL branding which I am totally in love with.    MECCA Brands is a leading example of how business can create ripple effects of significant positive social change. Being able to access some of the best people with the most amazing brains to take CTL from idea to reality has been AMAZING!   To check out what we do at Challenge The Label speaker agency, jump onto the website below. https://lnkd.in/gJ2WF9fm #speakeragency #socialenterprise #genderequality Pictured below, me, Wendy, Clare and Sarah at MECCA Brands HQ.

📣 10 years ago the Global Summit for Women in Paris had an all-male panel📣 Despite progress in this area over the last decade we still see that globally 69% of speakers are male. "I was recently at a conference in the UK, I looked in front of me and it was ALL men, male keynote speaker and all male panel. When I looked behind me it was nearly all women. We need to say goodbye to manels." Carla Raynes Founder - Challenge The Label. Challenge The Label exists to elevate the voices of amazing women who are leading social and environmental change. Understanding my limits and putting me first has been a game changer. A year ago, I had a 18 month old and 3 year old. Years of disrupted sleep and a new charity was taking up all my energy. One night I was up in the middle of the night feeding my baby. Next minute I was lying on the floor staring up at my husband, totally confused about what was going on. An ambulance took me to hospital and I was told I had experienced a seizure. After going for an MRI, a brain surgeon came to speak to me. She explained that I had a blood clot on my brain. I totally lost it, I was scared for my life and for my babies. Following a further MRI I was casually told that I didn’t have a blood clot and it was just an imaging mistake. The relief was intense, I was taught a valuable lesson in gratitude for my health and life. For 6 months I couldn’t drive my car and had every test under the sun. I was ultimately told that I had experienced a seizure from exhaustion and that if I didn’t change my lifestyle I would likely have more. I have since addressed my diet, sleep and exercise which has been brilliant. But most importantly I now have Thursday afternoons off with no children and no work. To start with I told no one I was doing this. I simply said I have appointments on Thursday afternoons that I can’t shift. I think there must have been guilt from all angles, mum guilt and charity guilt. I’m glad to say that now I celebrate my Thursday afternoons and fiercy protect them. On an almost weekly basis I have to push back hard on all the demands of work and family. But ultimately I know that I am a much better mum and leader for taking this time. I wish I didn’t have to have a seizure to learn that I have to take time for me. What do you do to look after yourself? Founder and CEO The Equality Institute | TEDx Speaker | Feminist Activist

To be honest, I’ve been struggling a bit lately. Overwhelmed and exhausted. It’s been a challenging year, working to address gender-based violence at a time when the need is greater than ever (due to wars and conflict, the climate crisis, a global backlash against gender rights, the rise of authoritarianism and online hate), but resources are limited. I thought flying halfway around the world to present at another event would only add to my fatigue. The opposite was true. Free Future 2024: Preventing Gender Violence Around the World hosted by Ford Foundation, left me feeling inspired, energised and motivated. Being around brilliant minds and courageous hearts reminded me why we do what we do. It was an honour to share the stage with leaders from all over the globe, including #MeToo founder Tarana B., actress and activist Sophia Bush, poet ALOK Vaid-Menon, and more visionaries fighting on the front lines of gender equity. I believe that in the midst of great suffering, we can hold onto joy and a sense of peace. We can call forth love and justice. We can imagine into being, a free future. ✨ And that is what we did. You can watch a recording of the day here: https://lnkd.in/gaRHMrdt The Equality Institute #FreeFuture24 #UNGAxFord #EndGBV Thank you Ford Foundation, UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women, Skoll Foundation, Cindi Leive, Jenan Matari and everyone who made this event possible. Westpac Social Change Fellowship Highs, Lows and Everything in Between! I want to share about the incredible impact of receiving my Westpac Foundation social change fellowship. To start with, I have to say that I applied THREE times before I was accepted. My first pitch Bridge It had launched 4 months earlier and I was 9 months and 1 week pregnant with a rather large baby. The following year, I had a very young charity demanding so much of my attention and I had forgotten what it felt like to have decent sleep. My third application, I GOT IT! Through the scholarship I have met the most incredible group of people who know what it is like to birth and run organisations with social and environmental inpact at their core. The burning fire in your belly that says that you will not give up until the world is a better place for everyone. These people have become my friends and I am so grateful for that. The program is run by the legend who is Lauren Hill she has been a huge advocate and support for my big ideas. I have been on a week long leadership retreat which stretched the way I think and challenged me in so many ways that ultimately led to me understanding that key to leadership is self-leadership. I have been coached by the incredible May Samali who brings so many skills and ideas to me, she put me through a positive intelligence course, which I did alongside my team that brings awareness and strength to navigate the challenging things we manage at Bridge It. I have been coached on all things PR by the unstoppable, Odette Barry. Though this support, me, Bridge It and Challenge The Label have been featured in the news numerous times and more to come! I have travelled the UK exploring organisations fighting homelessness. I have launched a social enterprise, Challenge The Label and have done numerous paid speaking gigs. I am growing my charity, Bridge It with hope, optimism and courage. Key lesson learned, don't give up and the great stuff is neither easy or quick. #socialchange #leadership #coaching #publicspeaking #businessforgood #women Ninna Katrine Larsen Jane Marx Luke Hallam Maryam Zahid Andrea Comastri Claire Lane Ifrin Fittock Zac Lewis Angelique Wan Pictured below the day of my first Westpac pitch!
