We’re thrilled to see chronic pain finally getting the attention it deserves. Osher Günsberg’s powerful new documentary dives deep into the realities of living with chronic pain in Australia. Chronic pain affects 1 in 5 Australians, and it’s time we open up the conversation about this invisible yet life-altering condition. Chronic Pain Australia played an integral role in working with Osher and the team to ensure the lived experience of our community was at the forefront. Through personal stories and expert insights, this documentary sheds light on the challenges faced by millions, while also exploring potential treatments and ways to understand and manage pain. 🙌 💡 This one-hour documentary premieres at 8.30pm Thursday 21 November on SBS and SBS On Demand. https://lnkd.in/g9Y4SZY7 #ChronicPainAustralia #ChronicPain #OsherGünsberg #PainAwareness #InvisibleIllness #SBSDocumentary

We often think of playground injuries as fleeting—something that heals with time. But for some, like young Cooper, what seemed like a simple school yard “accident” ended up being the start of a long and lonely journey of chronic pain. It took months of “agony” navigating the health system before Cooper was finally diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome – a rare neurological disease that affects 5000 Aussies and causes “excruciatingly painful” reactions to stimuli including air and water. Through our Kids in Pain Initiative, Chronic Pain Australia is committed to supporting young Australians like Cooper and their families. Children deserve to grow up without the burden of isolation, stigma and unanswered questions that chronic pain can bring with it, and we’re here to ensure they receive the care, understanding, and support they need. 👉 Read Cooper’s full story and join us in advocating for better support for all kids in pain. https://lnkd.in/g36MdYWY #ChronicPain #ChildrensHealth #KidsInPain #PainAwareness #CRPS #ChronicPainAustralia Learn more at www.kidsinpain.org.au Joshua W.
