    I liked the article by McKinsey & Company team of Kate Smaje and Rodney W. Zemmel on Ai ideas that are shaping businesses. It serves as a great reminder to Business Leaders, that in the middle of all the noise around innovation, “keeping your eye on where value comes from is still the name of the game” Here is an excerpt from the McKinsey article: “If you wanted to boil down 2023 to one concept, it would have to be generative AI (gen AI). Few of us can remember a technology that has swept through the business community with such speed and impact. Hardly a day passes without a new development hitting the headlines. While still blanketed with caveats and unknowns, gen AI stands to have a profound impact on how we live and work. But the very excitement around gen AI is in danger of distracting business leaders from some other core business imperatives and the importance of rewiring their companies. In the article they have looked at ten underlying ideas that might not be dominating the headlines but are shaping the modern business landscape. “Some of these ideas represent significant shifts, such as the importance of architecting the business so that everything can be tested, or how to think about a workforce where everyone has their own gen AI “copilot.” Others, like keeping a tight focus on value, relate to business fundamentals that are often overlooked under the stresses of day-to-day demands and technology hype”. Alongside the explosion focus in Gen Ai, in Predictive Ai, with a significant focus on Data. A few weeks ago, Salesforce announced the launch of Data Cloud and Einstein copilot. has been recognised as a leader in the inaugural Gartner Magic Quadrant for Customer Data Platforms. Here is a quote from the Gartner report about data and data silos that exist within organisations. “The amount of customer data that companies collect has grown exponentially with the rise of digital products and services and customers have come to expect exceptional experiences based on the data collected about them. But data silos with trapped data in different data platforms and systems stand in the way. While nearly 70% of companies say their customer interactions are now purely digital, only 26% of organizations report providing a completely connected experience across all channels. And 81% of IT leaders report that data silos are hindering their digital transformation efforts”. I look forward to sharing these ideas over the next few days.
