Even tough outdoor-rated labels will still experience it to a degree under certain conditions and with time! But when your labels fade unexpectedly fast, that's a cause for concern...    Curious what conditions could be making your label fade prematurely? Take a peek at this troubleshooting list of common causes, and see if you spot one that sticks!    ☀️ UV/SUN EXPOSURE: The sun's rays break down the chemical bonds of ink, which lightens a printed image over time. This is the most common cause of label fading, can be minimised by using certain print methods or materials during production of your labels. 💦 EXPOSURE TO MOISTURE: Moisture can cause your labels to fade by smudging the ink, and can also disintegrate the label . This degradation can be avoided by making sure that a suitable substrate (the material your labels are printed on) is used in manufacturing. 🛢 EXPOSURE TO CHEMICALS: Chemicals can cause your labels to fade through degrading the ink used to print them (and in some cases, can end up destroying the label completely). It just isn't Christmas without top-quality Aussie seafood! We're proud that our labels play a part in getting our client Seaharvest's delicious prawns to festive tables across WA.   Here's a look behind the scenes at production of a label order of theirs! Seaharvest's colour-coded labels take quite a journey on fishing boats off the coast of Carnarvon, which are often at sea for up to five weeks.
